| I think the idea of the "reasonably priced car" is that it's crap, and no celeb will ever drive that crap a car normally. The swift is by all accounts quite good.

| Loved this, every bit. New studio, reviews, convertible, new reasonably priced car - it does look much quicker, doesn't twist around so much, less body roll, looks much more stiff and rigid - and the CCX was a fabulous looking thing. Editing, sound, studio bits, all great work imho. Excellent episode, no critics whatsoever! ![]() | |

Love the look of the new set, the dog, the new opening titles, the bigger studio, the new RPC all gold. I cried with laughter the whole way through the Espace segment, especially the car wash. That was absolutely hilarious! And the Stig's off Can't wait for next week!!! |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | great episode, i'm very pleased, fifth gear got better this season, and it's great to see top gear has gone the same way. i liked the new format for the celebrity laptimes: "if you hash it, tough". i also liked the sense of danger they put on the CCX film, it was made clear it wasn't a car to dick around with, i don't remember any sports/super car review from top gear that had that ingredient in. |

Car: E90 335i Rep Power: 0 ![]() | CCX just seems so dangerous and scary to drive. I have driven 996 Porsches before and also the newest 997 C4S and they're very very managable and fun to drive. I am definitely not going to drive the CCX even if I'm offered to drive it. Just too scary. Then the Renault Espace convertible was hilarious. I like how they were all like "......." when they realized they had to go thru a car wash. Wished they showed the aftermath of the car. EDIT: HOW DID CLARKSON BREAK THE WINDOW? |

| The "Carminator" had the best entrance. I was ecstatic that he showed up. He definitely broke the car in. As far as the rest of episode, a-freaking-mazing. CCX crash was .Car wash was . Shocked me that they ran for it... .I'm glad that they got the Chevy Lacetti. It looks much more stable through the corners than the Liana. This is also a good step for GM. They need to get their foot in as many doors as possible.

wow, bloody great episode! the micra "review" started it off greatly, i was laughing through that all the way until i totally burst out when it went:"nissan say that its class leading..aargh.....can't do any more, i've done ernough." the conversion of the espace then got even better and brought us back to top notch top gear hilarity. the guys driving around in their convertible was just priceless. news were ten a bit dull, but civic review typically picturesque. then again, the informal star-in-a-reasonably-priced-car meeting was the best siarpc section ever! having all those guys fool around there was just so entertaining. again i laughed all the way through it. the keonenoeogngiegensoengneeggggs then really impressed me. it was actually the first time that koenigsegg managed to do that. its still a rather difficult car to drive, but the sound, the looks in this grey/black finish and the way it goes were really impressive. sure clakrson did not slide around as much as he usually does, but i believe that this was simply impossible in that mad car. and the flames this monster was spitting out...wow...every car should do that. ![]() the time was a bit dissapointing but thats also due to the handling. and then the stig crashed it properly..i'd like to hear what he must have shouted during his crash. the finish then was again hilarious, with the top speed run and the monkeys...only the fire in the carwash was a bit over the top i think. don't know whether i should believe that... in addition a word about the music: wow was that suiting the different scenes! pink panther theme before you saw the micra...the different tracks for the different stars...and during the high speed run etc...very well done. all in all easily one of the best episodes and a great start into the new season.

| "Oh man, that's lion porn!" ![]() Amazing start to what's gonna be another great season, Top Gear in their finest form. I've also decided that the Koenigsegg CCX is the greatest supercar ever, and that I shall be stealing one shortly. Cute dog, too, my mother said that it was hideous. And for the record, I like the new Reasonably Priced Car. It looks better than the Suzuki and it's slightly more powerful so the celebrities can spin out more to our delight. So what if it's a Daewoo in drag? Fine with me. | |
