Oh dear, I almost wet myself in the news segment when they were talking about that wristband images/smilies/lol.gif Especially the way Jezza corrected himself when he forgot how old his son was, shit that was funny!

Loved the episode. Hamster vs the Squirrel was cool, the Cayenne, although ugly, is one badass car. Jezza's S-Class review was great, that cruise control is amazing images/smilies/eek.gif ANd then of course, his S-Class hack up. Funniest lap of the track ever! The review of the Z4 M was also very enjoyable.

Can't wait for the next episode images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

Another great ep - mmm Z4M hotness, my kind of car.

Can't say I was too upset about the Cayenne's end...

Ewan McGregor was terrific - though I think my wife enjoyed it a bit too much images/smilies/unsure.gif

The S-Class segment was wet-your-pants comedy (I've got to stop watching Top Gear on the good lounge suite - the stains are very hard to get out...), those in-car shots were just hilarity at it's best.

Oh yeah, the CCX lap - images/smilies/eek.gif images/smilies/bow.gif

Great work boys, keep it up.

Volvo invented the three-point seatbelt, refused to patent it so that everyone would use it and thus everyone would be safer.

Merc had the first pre-tensioning three-point seatbelt for accidents.

Missed the first 15 minutes, but the rest was good, I reckon.

Did anyone else notice that the Stig was wearing a watch?

does he usually wear a watch?

new stig perhaps? or "wardrobe malfunction"? images/smilies/oops.gif

great episode BTW, with the CCX breaking the lap record they are moving closer and closer to the time of the Renault F1 images/smilies/twisted.gif

Jezza's S-class was hideous, but i did like the fireplace in the back

If this wasn't the best episode ever, it was probably very close in my books images/smilies/biggrin.gif

For once, Richard didn't get on my nerves. I enjoyed his review and he earnt some respect for those powerslides in the Z4M. So which car would you have? The Porsche or the BMW? I'd only just take the Porsche because I do like/require the basic luxuries it has.

The Cayenne segment was not bad. It was very stagged, which I'm not surprised about. But I was mainly happy that it crashed! We need more crashes on TG...this is good haha!

The News was hilarious, totally loved it images/smilies/tvhappy.gif

I thought the cinematography (this always gets mentioned) was absolutely excellent for the S-Class review and the way everything was set out. Most of it looked like manufacturer video but infact thats TG video that was taken last year when they got an exclusive look at the car before it was officially released.

The S-Class is probably the best car out there and I'm glad that at least Mercedes can cement their position at the top of that market where it really matters. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Jeremy in an 2-tonne yacht on the TG test track! What a laugh! Awesome power from the V8, simply awesome. Very addictive.

I feel for that poor French woman. No wait I don't. She looks like a stuck up bi*#h and I'd hate to be married to her...she'd probably be very bossy. But I would have been interested to see what she could have come up with.

It's usually a little more concealed by his cuff.

The hideous Cadillac DeVille had infared night vision five years ago, they all looked as though their Cadillac emblems had been stolen because they were removed in place of the infared sensor.

hey....nice pic up there....

finally, a more promising episode, very close to what top gear had always been. hammond powerslides, and i would say finally does it correctly after learning it on top gear last season from Mr Kazam (or however you spell it) the D1 driver who didn't make it to the finals in 2005 but got even more popular despite that loss. the race against the red devil was slightly boring it was predictable that the devil will win but didn't realise the gap was so small. the S-class was fantastic...in HK there's like so much of them on the streets...even if u don't think you'll see one in hk, go to a busy part of the city and you'll see tones...all with satnavs and watever although i don't think they'll use it....
the segment on jeremy trying to mod the interior of the old s class was damn funny, espically seeing hammond and may inside all over the place and i thought that silly fireplace would cause the whole interior of the car to be full of carbon monoxide....the lap in that car was damn funny too..
lap on the added spoiler CCX, i think that spoiler had to be a better looking one as the old ones like on the CC8 sort of looked like a curved thick bar joining up the two side parts or sth...the time it achieved was fantastic too.

good one stig! and hope top gear will stay like this or become even more like the past...(i sort of liked it like that) till the end of this season.

i have read tests of the new GS where they get the mpg that lexus say .. and still outruns an E500 ...
the GS450h is as fast and fuel efficient as they say .. but i bet 10bucks that jeremy is going to say the opposite when he tests it ...

Best episode in the 08 season. The lap in Clarksons Merc was one of the funniest segments i've seen. Hammond: "Oh im bleeding quite a lot now" images/smilies/thumbsup.gif images/smilies/lol.gif images/smilies/lol.gif

And I loved the test drive in Jeremy's S- Class! It was classic!

Jeremy's S-Class. OMG Now that was some funny shit TG style. Though still somewhat off vs old TG this one was more proper than 1~3. One thing that ticks me off for some odd reason is the set, 1st too many people and second too many cutsey bits hanging around. The Koenigsegg is not only blinding fast, it's absolutely gorgeous.

Much better episode.

S Class (new) was good, as was Z4M. Guest was good.

Only thing I didnt like was the Koenisegg. I don't believe the lap time tbh. It looked far too planted to be fast. In fasct it looked slow compared to the Zonda, MC12 etc.

Sure, the spoiler has an effect, but I fear there was some manipulation of the time there to appease Koen. for smacking the last one....
