Maybe the best episode of the season so far?

Hard to say since the "amphibian" piece so far is at the top images/smilies/biggrin.gif

i dont really like the silly "why cant it be done" ideas.

anyways, if sir gambon said he lies in interviews, then was the "heart attack in the aeroplane" story he told in his first appearence in Top Gear a lie? images/smilies/wacko.gif

Okay ep by TG standards. My only dissapointment is that the news feels more scripted than in prior series' now and its not as good IMO.

I loved the test of the new C6...I'd love to drive one myself and see just how soft the suspension is! But I wonder how it would be affected during heavy cornering...it would just lean on its suspension alot I think.

I loved the soccer game even more than I did with last years one images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

VW Fox = ugly

The Coool Wall seemed a way to fake for my likeing but overall, another good ep of TG images/smilies/smile.gif

this had to be one of the best episode. i actually like the misfiring system...although it'd kill the turbo badly...but imagine if it was your everyday car and before u start u can make flames come out of the exhaust before u set off!

gambon was damn funny too...wonder how many lies he said.

hope the episodes after world cup are like this too....

Not sure that anyone will care about this, but the guy from Prodrive that Jeremy was talking to is David Lapworth, former Subaru WRC team boss. That's the first time I've seen him on TV since he stepped down from that position, I believe. Never expected it to be on Top Gear! images/smilies/tongue.gif

I really rather enjoyed this episode. The Jackie Stewart segment was brilliant. Who ever thought Captain Slow could come within 8 seconds of a Jackie Stewart lap time. Now that James seems to be back, and driving fast, I want to see a Clarkson vs May vs Hammond race, all in cars from the studio to the Nurburgring and put in a lap time at the Nordschleif. I bet you May would beat Clarkson.

I really enjoyed the Football, what car do you think will be used for the rematch, I am betting on the Toyota Yaris.

Gambon was a hoot. what a funny guy, I would love to sit in a Pub with him and have a pint.

When are they going to test the 599?

Do you ever think they will get an FXX to test? (0-60 2.9 seconds Jezza will probably have an embolism from the torque)

I think they should have each guy do laps in the reasonably priced car and put their times on the board. As far as I know, the only one to do it was Jeremy in the Liana, and he had Hamster and Jason Dawe sitting in the back, right? images/smilies/tongue.gif

I wonder if Captain Slow is now faster on all tracks... I doubt she could have knocked 20secs off Hammonds or JC's time. They would've been faster than jackie after that images/smilies/smile.gif

Xeon SX was right about the cute girl during gambon... if he meant the one with the bangs. But still my favorite girl was in the "ferraris for mondeo-money"-episode...

The fact that it was Lapworth made Clarkson's reactions even more halarious. And am I the only one who wants to see more car RIVAL challenges. Like Fifth Gear's shootouts, only not as gay.
