Rep Power: 20 ![]() | This is a classic example of what a well-rounded Top Gear episode is like. People might say the introductory minivan segment was dull but it's been quite a while since Top Gear has shown down-to-Earth segments involving affordable cars. They even went through each van to explain how the interiors work just like they used to do in earlier seasons. Then you have the supercar test drive with the Lambo. I'd rather have the Ferrari because the Gallardo has too many sharp edges like a knife. Top Gear vs. Parkour was a bit hard to follow with all the shakey camera work but it was still a nice segment. The Stig vs. Trio competition seemed far too scripted but the Stig all made up for it. Overall, an awesome episode that had good news, star-in-a-reasonably-priced-car, and cars segments.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Good episode. The Lambo segment was great. The Caterham segment reaffirmed for me one thing I've known for a few years now: Don't wrench with your friends. Doesn't matter how well you get along, or how many beers you drink, garage time is time meant for men to spend alone. Otherwise you'll just end up shouting at one another. |

Heard of anti-sweat deodorant? Or at least wear something that reflects heat instead of absorbing it. Richard and May didn't have this problem. Doesn't mean it's comlpetely his own fault, but i saw it and went BLERGHHH!! Yes, I do sweat, but then again I wasn't the star in a reasonably prized car, was I? ![]()

| I must say that the end of the Caterham-race kind of positively surprised me and at the same time, dissapointed a bit. I was expecting that car to break up in half or something because of Clarkson's mad hammering and leaving out the washers etc. I still think they could've gotten more out of the whole segment, especially the end. But the Stig in public, brilliant All in all, a nice episode, but as others have said too, I'm getting an overload of challenges | |

I guess they know it's not that funny (at least not as funny as dog-eating). =) The Caterham segment is a shame, since they didn't do the husbands-vs-wives thing. I think that Francie Clarkson would be very interesting on television, judging by what Jeremy has written about her... |

I dunno ...... I wrenched on mine and a friends car a few months ago, we did complete brake jobs on both cars. We found each others help invaluable. We did rotors, pads, stainless flex lines and a complete flush of the brake fluid for 2 cars in under 8 hours. | ||

I was thinking to myself during the episode "Hmmm...wonder if there is a Caterham dealer in the USA". Well, there is. What is the USD price of a Caterham Seven classic, you ask? $26,065!!! And that is without a drivetrain! Forget that. I'll just buy a four year old Miata.

| I'm not Moe | overall it was a great ep if you ask me. it had a little of everything that makes an ep good. A sensible comparo, a long enough supercar review, a humorous guest, and a challenge. As Joeblo1 said, it was very well rounded. and @ Jayhawk: for something as quick and intense as a caterham, $35K or so (for a good condition fully built one), is a bargain. Sure its not a real car, but its atleast $15K cheaper than an elise. |
