actually that's not like what you said at all. You said the BIN was the sort code, which would make it 492181 not 014577.

We don't have sort codes here, so I didn't know what it was, and it's format and a previous post led me to think it was a birthdate.

a sort code of 01 apparently belongs to NatWest.

Also, in the US most cards have a security letter, and a number on the back signature strip. I'm not sure why you even brought that up, but yeah.
That was cobol74 images/smilies/lol.gif

I mentioned the security letter cos you mentioned it at the end of your post. Just questioning the relevancy of it.

Not answering a cop's question IRL makes a cop pissed off. This is why I think the video was created after the fact to get it on tape.
I'm not sure how the situation arose - whether it was staged from the word go or if the producers took advantage of a situation. What I meant was I thought the two policemen were actually real policemen rather than acters/members of the production crew as it's unlikely the Police would allow anyone other than a real officer to drive one of their vehicles on the road. My comment was more meant for the folks suggesting that it was the same policeman as used in previous segments.

Sort cpde is 01-49-77 UK cards also have a security number on the back strip with the signature.

As for the helmet I never thought about that, can't say I have been stopped with a helmet on BUT what happens if you refuse to take it off and not communicate do they have the power to forcefully remove it?????

Besides I can prove beyond any doubt the arrestr was staged, Stiggy ain't human sp can't be expected to obay the laws of the land.
images/smilies/biggrin.gif

As for dates I could use an education why do yanks put the month before the day? whats that all about, call me ignorant or just plain stupid but what other counties do it that way is it only North America?.

They probably couldn't remove it at the roadside if you out-and-out-refuse, but they'd arrest you and do it at the police station.

Because we say... "February 5th" so logically the easiest way to write this is 02/05 so you can just read from left to right.
For example you could use a system where $599.99 is represented as 99.599$... but that'd be backwards because we read the dollars before the cents.

BTW, the helmet The Stig wears isn't road legal. I wonder if the TG team really let him out like that without informing someone of what they were up to...

But would it matter anyways because technically he would not need a helmet. I think its not road legal on motorcycles but in a car I do not think it would matter.
