Cut and paste. Used term for plastic surgery. A "nip" here (cutting excess skin for example). A "tuck" there (lifting and such) images/smilies/wink.gif

About the pixelation, i saw this all the time, only in brighter shots it wasnt as clearly visible as it was in darker shots.

TBH, when listening to the banter on Top Gear about driving in Britain I often think they're far worse off than us.

Brilliant show, really made my weekend actually!

The overnight ratings are in... not too bad!

"BBC2's ratings leviathan Top Gear also returned last night for a 10-part series and handsomely won its slot between 8pm and 9pm.

Top Gear attracted 6 million viewers and a 23% share for an edition which featured Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren and the three presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond driving lightweight supercars across Europe.

The BBC2 show beat its BBC1 opponent, Antiques Roadshow, which pulled in 5.7 million viewers and a 22% share in the same slot with a programme filmed in Coventry Cathedral."

there was definitely something wrong with the in-camera in richard's car (but not the whole time) - it looked bad on broadcast tv and in the studio when we saw the film there.

Sweet - great episode, great way to kick off the new series. I can't complain about any of it - great work chaps.

Great episode. I really liked the parts in Italy and I've been two times to the Stelvio with my motorbike and I can confirm that is truly ass kicking. There are a lots of road like this in the centre of Italy too and I'm sure that in switzerland or Austria there are some good too. Too bad that an episode is only 1 hour long images/smilies/sad.gif.

I hope the cool wall will be back and I can't wait to see the next episode!

Oh my god, what a comeback after the poor 9 series images/smilies/smile.gif

Congrats on the Rip from Australia. It is a pity it was not HD (the polar special spoilt us).

Thanks Final Gear

A brilliant season opening episode.

As good as 5th Gear has been thus far, it won't be nearly as brilliant as this episode.

How refreshing to see Top Gear back in it's most entertaining form! Great location, great filming, great cars, great soundtrack and of course the interaction between the hosts.

Can't believe I was making by with Fifth Gear and the awful North American shows between 9th and 10th season lol.

Okay, here's the deal. The episode was fun. The lightweight supercar film was OK, but... in all fairness, what are those three cars about? About racing. You can take them on a trip to Switzerland for sure, but the main purpose why they were built is racing on a track. TG had them in the studio the day they shot the episode. THEN WHY THE HELL DIDN'T THE STIG TAKE THEM ON THE TRACK?! That's the ONLY way to find out if they're worth anything!

Rolling drag race on a motorway doesn't proove anything. And I believe that on a racetrack Aston would start making sense.

And I really hope to see Lewis Hamilton as a star in a reasonably priced car in three weeks time.

It was about the drive not really about the cars.

How dare you comment that film as "OK"? The finding-the-greatest-driving-road-in-the-world film was excellent.

1. yes theyre made for a track, but the atmosphere wouldn't make for good hour long viewing.
2. the studio doesn't necesarily get them to race on the track when the guys do
3. its not as funny
4. good luck with lewis. tho i hope i do get to eat my words on that oneimages/smilies/smile.gif
