How many of us were there? I was standing by the cameraman as they discussed who would drive. Don't think I appeared. My arm might.

I was in a bad mood untill I saw this top gear Episode.
It might not have been the most informative, but it certainly was the most amusing. I don't see top gear as an informative car program, I see it as a brilliant bunch of British humor (and I love British humor images/smilies/wink.gif)

I loved it.

The Britcar was a great feature, the cinematography on the Ascari review was spectacular (isn't it always images/smilies/wink.gif), the BMX bikers was good fun and I liked that they admitted it was not really a race, the SIARPC was nice and quick.
10/10 this week.

As other members have stated, the race segment was just epic and a real triumph for the Top Gear team and the BMW. I was hoping to see a bit more of Hammond's publicised and exaggerated accident though. As for the remaining components of the show, the lack of news was disappointing but the guest interview was above average and the Fiat 500 review was fun to watch, if a bit lacking in the informative department. The Ascari review was a bit of a run of the mill Clarkson review, but it did convey the power of the car very well, as evident from the top time it set.

If you weren't moved at Jeremys reaction on crossing the line, then you have no soul.

Indeed, but when it's dark, and they've only got little cameras attached to the car, it was never going to happen!

I am a harsh marker, so 7/10 is a good score for me.

The advertising on the cars alone made this a 7/10. I enjoyed it. This is the first time I have thought 'Wow. Stig is great - in a kinda schoolboy hero type way.'

Would it have been better if they had a decent-ish car in the 24hr race?

Not really, they're not very good, and it's a real race.

awesome ep, just awesome..... brit car looks seriously entertaining and i will be going next year me thinks.

that TVR crash just looked so aweful because the "journey" to the scene of the accident looked like it took an eternity! the driver knew that one was coming and he knew for a long time. but there was nothing he could do.

hammond looked a bit shook up after his shunt, happened so fast and the mosler just popped out of the darkness.

good to see that they took it seriously... kind of.

i like keith allen, not sure about lilly (though i do like her cover of that keiser chiefs sony "never been this far away from home" or whatever it is)

no news lost it a point tho

i liked james part if only becuase they showed the BMX'ers stacking it a couple of times...... shows these guys are not immortal for once.

Britcar was fantastic, best part of the series possibly, lots of atmosphere and it really really made me want to do a race too.

Star was boring and uninteresting, I never liked him in anything he's been in really.

The Fiat 500 should cost £6k, £8k and it stops making sense.

The Ascari's time was an interesting demonstration of control over power (beating the Koeneieegabcdefg), I didn't expect it to be quite that fast.

Absolutely fantastic!!!!!!! The Britcar was 5 star, loved every second of it. The Fiat race was good aswell, lol those BMX's have a death wish. & well done to the Ascari for heading the powerlap board.

Well I liked it 9/10 from me. I'd like an Ascari.

This was the episode I was expecting the most this series, and it didn't disappoint. The race was fantastic images/smilies/smile.gif

Such a dramatic start too. We sometimes say that their car vs. something races are probably staged with such close finishes, but I doubt that was the case here images/smilies/smile.gif

Was James' P-Flag emblem ever discussed or revealed why he had it?

I'd give it a 8/10.

Great Episode, but not the best, usually the specials are the best but the 24h race was awesome!

I liked this one. The best part was seeing how much effort they put in the race. Hammond's look when he crashed the car and Jeremy's tears tell us how badly they wanted to see the checkered flag. images/smilies/smile.gif

9/10 images/smilies/wink.gif

That.. was.. epic. Jezza weeping was just a great way of showing what pressure a 24hr race puts on you. The team mentality, when they for once were cheering for each other. Not that I don't like the fighting and the bickering, but this was just great. One of the best, if not the best episode ever. Just love it. And the worst part of it? I don't think that they can recreate this feeling in Top Gear again. This was its peak.
