| Gulf Livery Rules | I don't know if that'll happen for sure, i hope mitsu has learned from the past. I agree with you on this. But unlike the Eclipse and the 3000GT, the fattening of the Evo is primarily due to safety regulations. I seriously hope this isn't the beginning of the end... If it is, i'll just get an evo x in a few years, when it's still considered as the daddy. ![]() |

Rep Power: 15 ![]() | Loved every bit of this episode. Great leap beyond what they accomplished in the season opener. A show about cars, comparing cars, and talking about cars. Clarkson's review of the Black Series was his best in ages. He didn't say very much about the technical specifics of the car, but his impression and emotions were so clearly conveyed. The music, the backdrop of the deserted streets--loved it. Fantastic.

Car: Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Saloon, VW Jetta TDI Rep Power: 9 ![]() ![]() | I liked it! They reviewed cars! What a strange concept! My only complaint is this new two guest thing they've got going on. It's asinine, and could we please see some guests that may have been heard from outside of the UK? Suburu/Mitsu review: Great News: Good RS6 review: Nice to see Hammond do a power car for a change! And I wish they'd let the guys win one of these races just once. Having him pretend to get lost so he'd lose, come on! TG Stuntman: Good stunt, not sold on him yet. And does James have to be his emcee every time? Captain slow needs to do road tests! CLK Black review: Good one! I think Jeremy got the piano solo at the end right. Where's the Stig's lap in it? Or in the RS6 for that matter? I'd say better than last week overall. Can't wait for next week. Oh, and for those that complained about the rip being a tad late, piss off. Try being grateful for a site like this existing so you can watch the show at all. Thank you Viper and everyone involved for making it all possible! ![]() |

Rep Power: 16 ![]() | Great Ep. The STi Vs Evo results threw me for a bit. Does anyone know where to submit the Stupid Signs? Email? Website? I just snapped a great one from White Plains NY. |

Rep Power: 16 ![]() | This episode delivered everything the first one didn't. For example the STi vs Evo was very well edited and the whole segment rocked. RS6 looks gorgeus. The two frenchmen hopping off cliffs with silly parachute don't. I'll give it a 9 and it deserves it! |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | well I'm copy and pasting this from another member (thank you for this): The EVO VS. STI review: 8/10 -nice! I don't really know what is faster anymore, Best Motoring raced both Evo X SST and Manual against the New Sti, old Sti, and Evo 9 and both Evo X lost to everything else. But Best Motoring has always been a bit wonky. The talk/news: 8/10 -good RS6 VS. Skiers: 5/10 -BORING. I used to get excited seeing who would win. James May vs. bobsled, GOOD. Hammond versus flying squirrel, GOOD. This, boring. This is looking more like fifth gear kindergarten challenges. SIARPC: 8/10 -funny, better than last week. No idea who they were (but that's my fault for not being British). Top Gear Stuntman: 3/10 -useless. Got 3 only because I am a guy and like watching things crash. Cool Wall: 6/10 (By default since it's finally back) -entertaining! but obviously biased towards their own views, things moving back and forth for no reason. CLK Black Series: 1/10 -I hated this part. Instead of a true and proper review reflecting on how good or bad the car was, it was watching jeremy drool over a mercedes. We all know he likes them benzos, but the black series isn't a good car. You all watched fifth gear, you saw why. I can not believe fifth gear made a better review of a car. I know most people disagree with me that's fine, I just wanted to give my opinion anyway heh. Hopefully the top gear producer will read my comment too ![]() |

| Im happy that the Cool wall is back. Cant believe EvoX lost to the new STI~ RS6 is absolutely brilliant, even the race is kinda pointless.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | This is easily the best form of Top Gear. Sure, the cocking about is often hysterical, but this episode truly shows what the show is about. 3 chaps bangin' on steady about cars. The production quality is top notch, the music selections (as always) terrific and I can't wait to see more. If they keep making shows like this each week, I won't know what my favorite ones are anymore as the top will be too hard to decide. |

Car: Mercedes Benz 190D 2.5, BMW 316i C Rep Power: 9 ![]() | thoroughly good episode. somewhere between this and a bit of cocking about lies Top Gear perfection. even SIARPC wasn't that bad (though it was very short). only criticism is that there wasn't enough James. the TGSG bit was actually kinda cool - and they nearly achieved the stunt too - but just not enough screen time for the shaggy-haired one. he really deserved a car review too. though god knows which of the RS6, STi v EVO and Merc you would have given him.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I think I need to watch it again as I got called away for a phone call, but that's two weeks with Jeremy on mega contributions and little of James. Upyourego's post was a good one. After reading, I asked my daughter who was addicted to the previous three series of TG, and watches incessantly on Dave, what she thought of it and her response was 'boring boring boring. waste of time.' I did see all of SIRPC, and enjoyed that, but expected to because I love Spooks. The Cool Wall was much of the same, but at least tis back. I think TG has to decide if it is a car review show, or an entertainment programme. If it carries on as this week, it will lose viewers who are not interested in cars but do enjoy the cocking about. I sense a difference in this series so far- I suspect from reading his columns, Clarkson has decided it's back to basics, and that's that. Whether this is a wise move long term, only time will tell. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | So overall, I thought the show was good. But I want to comment on the CLK Black piece. Am I the only one that was dissappointed with this. Here I was thinking that TG was original and all they did was copy VW. I mean the entire concept! VW - Night Driving The camera angles, the emotive music...so disappointing. That being said, it was a nice rip, but I'm sad that it appears they are running out of fresh ideas. And am I the only one that noticed that these guys seemed to have hit mid life crisis's? Seems like all the jokes are sexual innuendos. |
