Great ep. Loved the testing of the Evo X. I've always liked that model car.

Still waiting to see some of the pulse pounding stuff we saw in the highlights of the series from the first episode.

Audis are not uncool, so you can shove your cool wall up your arse, Mr Clarkson.

Yours sincerely, Mr Hair.

The EVO VS. STI review: 8/10
-nice! I don't really know what is faster anymore, Best Motoring raced both Evo X SST and Manual against the New Sti, old Sti, and Evo 9 and both Evo X lost to everything else. But Best Motoring has always been a bit wonky.

The talk/news: 8/10
-good

RS6 VS. Skiers: 5/10
-BORING. I used to get excited seeing who would win. James May vs. bobsled, GOOD. Hammond versus flying squirrel, GOOD. This, boring. This is looking more like fifth gear kindergarten challenges.

SIARPC: 8/10
-funny, better than last week. No idea who they were (but that's my fault for not being British).

Top Gear Stuntman: 3/10
-useless. Got 3 only because I am a guy and like watching things crash.

Cool Wall: 6/10 (By default since it's finally back)
-entertaining! but obviously biased towards their own views, things moving back and forth for no reason.

CLK Black Series: 1/10
-I hated this part. Instead of a true and proper review reflecting on how good or bad the car was, it was watching jeremy drool over a mercedes. We all know he likes them benzos, but the black series isn't a good car. You all watched fifth gear, you saw why. I can not believe fifth gear made a better review of a car.

I know most people disagree with me that's fine, I just wanted to give my opinion anyway heh. Hopefully the top gear producer will read my comment too images/smilies/blink.gif
Hmm...Black Series not a good car huh? I guess when the Stig, who has driven every sports/exotic car on the planet calls it the most exciting car IN YEARS doesn't hold weight???? We're talking 430 Scuderia, Porsche GT3 RS, .....etc. you name it, if that don't hold weight I don't know what does.

You truly believe Clarkson when he tells you "Stig" said that? There in lies the problem of the recent TG series. Its either Hyperbole or just straight out lies images/smilies/sad.gif

What has he to gain by lying?

On boards like mbworld.org, ferrarichat.com and 6speedonline there are plenty of guys that are owners of Black Series who also own cars like GT3's and Challenge Stradales. They voice very strong opinions with track experience against the GT3 and its a dead match on performance yet has more praticality compared to the GT3. Of course I'm a little biased as I'm one of the few that actually owns this car.

For me the show was.... boring. The quality in the camera work has gone down hill, and i have to agree that there is too much unneeded bullshit added to make up the time. FFS they didnt even put the "black" around the track.
C'mon Top Gear, get back on track and make some real reviews or even a half descent challenge that hasn't been screwed up in the final cut. (Hammond and the spike strip reattaching itself)

yay, finally an all-car episode! A solid 9, a very good mix: review, news, race, stunt, review. Too bad the Black series didn't go round the track..

I images/smilies/biggrin.gif images/smilies/biggrin.gif images/smilies/biggrin.gif-ed when Jeremy pulled out a Playstation controller in the Evo/Impreza review.

Excellent camerawork in the Audi race, loved every piece of it. Also I think that TG has improved in the sounds department, we can finally hear the car's engines, the sound of RS6 and the black series were epic.

The TG Stuntman is starting to make more sense, exactly as Andy Wilman has pointed out in his blog. It was quite amazing to see that James (probably) has worked out the maths for the jump. If the landing ramp wasn't so steep, the car wouldn't have crashed.

when jermey was talking about the evo X he said the 360 hp evo came with a five speed. and the 300 hp came with the six speed. Any clue which trim models hes talking about?

in America.. MR six speed SST; GSR 5 speed manual same horsepower

MR = 6 speed double clutch (SST)
MR FQ-360 (UK only version) = 5 speed manual

This was probably my favourite episode of the season. The Black Series review was absolutely epic and is one of my favourite reviews Clarkson has ever done. I really got impression that in this case, it wasn't about the numbers or the luxuries of the car, it was just how good it was to drive. It was kind of disappointing that they didn't take the Black around the track.
