The Bentley review didn't disappoint either. images/smilies/smile.gif

Gave the ep a 10, not including the SIARPC, because I never watch those.

7/10

Alfa challenge: felt forced. Not just scripted but forced. It was funny but there were so many times when you just knew what was going to happen because we've seen it all before.

Bentley review was good.

I loved the news, my favourite segment by far. James laughing after "Great news!" - hilarious images/smilies/biggrin.gif

SIARPC was average, I usually don't enjoy it.

Some shows are better than other. That is just the way it is. And that is the way it is going to be, so if that fact does not appeal to you, take the moaning and groaning somewhere the rest of us don't have to see it.

Don't like Clarkson, fine. I don't give a pigs fart and I bet Jeremy cares even less.

So exactly what point do you think this idiot is correct in making? Because the point I see him making is he is a whinny bastard that will never be pleased with anything in the first place but wants to tell everyone else about it.
I have noticed quite a lot of people are bored with the repetativeness of TG atm and previously I posted a link refreshing, if a bit over-zealous take on it from the blog: xxxx

I found the below response to skylock's rather inane point quite funny, especially since she called me an idiot.

I noticed we were getting a lot of referrals from Finalgear.com, a Top Gear and 5th gear fan-site. I was very pleased to find the above comment on one of the forums so I have posted it.

The kind lady who wrote it, Judy (not a dude) very astutely points out that “Top Gear is a television program” (sic). And also quite rightly mentions that I am entitled to turn it off. But, apparently, I am not entitled to have an opinion on it unless it is celebratory, or apotheosising of the great Jeremy Clarkson.

Judy (not a dude), you really only serve to highlight my point; while we have blind adulation from thick, adoring super-fans Top Gear can afford to be lazy. It will remain at the top of the ratings, while it standards degrade, and then only when it is truly destitute will the thick, and bloody minded be forced to admit that it‘s lost its touch.

Why Judy do you need to highlight you are not a dude? Cursed with more testosterone than the average human female? A bit aggressive? It would explain why you jumped the gun. I am not sure you finished reading what I wrote previously, but I am a fan of Top Gear. I think it's great fun, but I also think it is going a bit stale.

By way of an analogy, Judy (not a dude), you are pig-headed (and a bore), and, like your opinion, a fart is feculent hot air so I am afraid a pig’s fart is exactly what you have given, whether you intended to or not.

Hmm, you found this post on a blog or is it your own blog? Thats twice you have posted about it now. I do agree with many points you made on it though and the person in that message hasn't exactly covered themselves in glory.

I think you do not "get" this forum. Maybe it would be a good idea to reanalyze your views of Final Gear. People here are going to circle the wagons around members that are established or respected.

I fully understand this, and I think it is principled and proper that you stand up for your own, and for those whose opinions that you agree with. Especially when so much is at stake. I posted the link only to add an alternate perspective, and not necessarily one I agree with. Life is always a little more fun when when you fly in the face of a forum's unilateralism.

People are entitiled to take Top Gear as seriously as they like... as long as its very seriously.

I just got the chance to watch it and I loved it! This is what Top Gear is about. I loved seeing the old Alfa's and I couldn't stop laughing the whole time. Well done guys!

Er, no you didn't. Both your posts before this one had the same website in, the second having the criticism of Skylock. Post once, fair enough but if you have posted it twice something makes me think that you have written the article and want to give it attention.

If it isn't yours then I apologise, but I have seen so many people doing similar things in the past.

Just something I wanted to add about this episodes "I found this on the internet". I believe that on this one, they actually showed the picture where the man does the Range Rover.

Here, I made a screenshot and zoomed in on the tv:

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q109/the_Interceptor/snapshot20080711222703.jpg

I know it's very blurry, but if you compare this picture to the original, it becomes quite obvious that it must have been this picture. Looks like they put a black bar over his best piece though.

[removed -- just Google for that image of a guy sticking his dick in a Range Rover's exhaust pipe]

I finally got it... I Finally realised why this episode was below par!!!

You see, coming from Australia i either have to download it or wait for a few months to see it, HOWEVER for you guys over there in the UK, this particular epsiode had the misfortune of being up against the brittish GP earlier that arvo and the Biggest tennis match of the year, and if i was a top gear producer, i too wouldnt put my best reviews and films on to be wasted on a mere ~3mil(??) viewers. Instead id wait a week to put on the EPIC race and top reviews when i know a 5mil figure is more likely...

So whilst this episode wasnt as good as i have come to expect, i can forgive the team this time..A massive tennis match is hard to compete against.. even if you threw in the EPIC race instead of the alfa cocking about (on a side note, They Could of had the 8c review on this episode and made it fully alfa-centric - and had the GTR review along with the epic race for a GTR-centric 11x04)

Whose poll of attractive racing drivers was that? Was that one of ours? I know it's a VB one, just not if it's an FG.com one.

Thanks Blayde. I've been so busy ignoring most of the stupid threads that n00bs here have been starting that I thought it possible to simply have missed a thread like that by mistake.
