Loved it - one of my favourite episodes of all time BUT I'm going to have to watch it again as I spent most of it laughing so hard I missed most of what they were saying.
Brilliant. |

Bloody fantastic. Best guests, best competition, best car hunting. Loved every second of it. One for the album, that.

BOOOO dubbed V8 noises on terios hunt.
Andy, I know you read this, we can tell the difference, it is not necessary. Anyway, apart from that (B-movie soundtrack trick), quite a decent episode, skyline was surprisingly fast, Dragons were not bad. rolls vs. BIG was a light hearted look and if I remember rightly the 2 cars are actually ownwd by the presenters (or at least were).

Gaaaaaaaaaaaargh! If ever there was a race I wanted the car to win... that was it. But still, if it had been the old Terios, which was totally rubbish at absolutely everything, it'd all have been over in five seconds.
I suggest Jezza buys a wheelchair for the inevitable day that a car cripples him. Twice in one episode? And let's not forget the previous attack from the MG XPower SV, and his spinal problems from doing too many powerslides, in earlier series... |

I loved the GTR review, I actually thought "oh shit" when Jeremy fucked his neck in the GTR....then laughed. The news, and Jeremy is SPOT ON when Gordon Brown, He's Stalin! The Grosser vs Rolls was very funny, I do love the Big Merc! the Fox hunting was awesome, I so hope that they don't manage to ban off-roading in the country side, it does NO damage that isn't generally caused, once again its people from London who don't understand the outside world going on about bull crap.
8/10 for me, maybe 9, not sure now.

I thought this was the weakest of the series so far. I didn't think it was crap or anything, but they've done everything they done already (amusing impracticality of certain cars in cities, driving fast across some terrain). Seeing the GT-R on the track was the best bit for me.
I've said stuff like this before, but i'd enjoy the chase bits more if they didn't try to hide the camera/crew/camera-cars so much. Those imperfections add to the feeling that they're concentrating on racing, not filming, and make it more exciting. See: the Japan race last week, where you could see the crew even talking to Jeremy as he had to run the last phase of it. Instead, here we got pretty shots from up high just after Jeremy stops and pretends to realize he can't cross the river, even though its obvious the shot is from somewhere it would take the crew 5 minutes to get to before hand. That just breaks the excitement of the race in your head. Filming directors need to keep in mind that the end goal isn't how cleanly or how prettily it can be filmed, its the end result in the viewers mind, and if faux-bad-filming enchances that, do it.

The GTR section was great, it really did look wonderful going round Fuji. And a damn good time from it on the TG track. It was nice to see a man on a lawnmower coming to save Clarkson...
![]() The news was OK, but the Sandaro bit wasn't the best, but you've got to keep it going. I was expecting the car James introduced (the Renault) to be the Dacia And I would like to suggest Jaguar as not making a bad looking car. And the DB9 Volante is not ugly! The classic cars were hilarious. I want a 'Big' even more now And the horn fight was brilliant And I just don't like May's Roller. Dunno why, I just don't compared to that immense Merc. The guests were better than I thought. Not as cocky. But still nice to see a decent time from someone this series. And the foxhunt, well what more can be said apart from it was so funny. When Clarkson pushed Hammond over the horse, to when it started rolling when he was closing the gate. Excellent stuff. Overall a great episode. Not as good as last week's, but still funnier. This episode didn't seem as 'together' as usual, but still brilliant. 8.5/10. It was a great episode that reminded me a lot of the old style top gear. The GTR review was amazing and im not surprised his neck went but the Lawnmower coming to save Clarkson was Brilliant and it is a brilliantly fast car. The news and SITRPC were solid nothing special but solid. The old luxuary car challenge was great and finally the fox hunt was brilliant

A solid 8 and good to see a decent quantity of Slow finally.
GT-R - no fakery there I'm sure. I bet that thing could put your back or neck out on a track easily. News - really enjoyed it. James was allowed to say a few bits and the way they segued into Jezza's running internet gag was really well done. Corniche vs Grosse - nice. That Merc has a lot more class than you'd perhaps give Jezza credit for. Not sure sure about James' Royce. Makes him look a bit like a seedy backstreet pornographer! SsIARPC - not a fan of Dragon's Den and expected these two to be a complete par of peenarses but they just weren't and to boot had some entertaining stuff to say and a real go around the track. Fox Hunt - great fun! Wonder it that was a real paint job of just those fancy printed vinyl panels. The latter probably, That Terios looked like fun, although i bet you wouldn't treat it like that if it were your own. Best part of the whole show "die getting 500 cheeseburgers out of your poo chute!" - James obviously really enjoyed delivering that line and scripted or not it was piss funny!
