Loved this epsiode!

The GTR was fantastic, and the sound when it was at the follow-through was images/smilies/jawdrop.gif

Guests this week were better, even though I don't know who they are it was still quite interesting. And omg how tall exactly is that Peter guy?! Imagine what Hammond would look like next to him...

The "fox" hunt segment was pretty good too. Loved the bit at the end where Jezza said something like "This is it, this is it! Bye kids, take care of your mom!" xD

News was pretty funny this week as well, personally to me i think it felt quite natural. When James said something about crashing cars and then pushing it away and blaming it on the speed cameras I laughed like a maniac.

Oh, and did they really intentionally cut off Hammond (or was it just my video) when he was introducing the segment where James and Jezza were driving their old cars, and right before it Hammond said something like "...stupid tw-" (I think he was going to say 'twats'). Wouldn't if have been better if they just bleeped it out? IMO cutting him off like that made it feel a bit weird; i had to rewatch that part because i thought my video skipped or something.

I give this week's episode a solid 10 too.

Why? Last week's episode saw the return of the epic races and that pure motoring feeling Top Gear is only capable of transmitting.

But this week's episode also saw the return to the core Top Gear episode. A little bit of everything (car reviews, little challenges etc.) put together in 60 minutes of pure motoring fun.

The GT-R review was simply EPIC. Definetly the GT-r has now become my favourite car of them all. Also the fact thet the review of the car was done in Fuji Speed way made it more special. After watching the episode I turned my PS3 on put Gran turismo 5 on it and couldn't stop going round fuji with the GT-R.

News section was fun to watch. SIARPC was awful. Not because of the segment but for the guests.

The Mercedes/Rolls Royce little challenge was hilarious and interesting to watch. Clarkson's Mercedes horn FTW!

And what can I say about the Fox Hunt!!! images/smilies/lol.gif Only Top Gear is capable of doing that. And who cares wether the sound of the daihatsu was a V8 or not. That little funky car has quite impressive Off-Roading capabilities for cheap money. And it's not like one of those "Look at me I'm a SUV! I look like a 4x4 but I definetly suck when I get out of the tarmac"

Thanks againg Top Gear crew for making us laugh every sunday you are on!! Such a shame this series were so short!!! images/smilies/sad.gif

I THINK clarkson uses the pic of the man "pleasuring" his RR (what he found on the internet) every week.. Looked to me the screens showed that pic again

That has to be one old sound effects library... the screenwipe sound effect at 50m40s was used in (1994 vintage) Doom II, every time Icon Of Sin spits a cube out of its brain. I've heard sound effects from Hexen in earlier episodes.

I hope you're not confusing the engine/exhaust note with tire squeel... Which is most of the sound the GT-R made through the follow through. images/smilies/tongue.gif First you can only hear tire howl, and right at the end of the pass you can start to hear the V6 hum.

New fans really need to go back and watch the older esp, Hammond did a full road test review of the Forester Turbo back in series 1 ep 9.

Solid installment. I give it a seven.

The GTR is a triumph of engineering and I adore it. Neutral on the exterior styling and don't like the interior but its capabilities command respect. Faster than the F430 Scuderia, LP640, SLR and Carrera GT and a hair's breadth off the Enzo. Incredible!

News was enjoyable. The trophy and throne was a laugh. It probably doesn't count since they really only make one model but I've always been partial to any of Pagani's creations with to respect to a car marker that doesn't make bad looking cars.

I love classic cars so May and Clarkson taking those gorgeous classics out was pure pornography. I have to admit I like the Reichsmarschall Göring car much more. Not even Clarkson can make that car uncool. "Chairman Margaret Clarkson", May's fear of being raped and "Cock".

Slightly off topic I like May and Clarkson films and would like to see more of this pairing. Off the top of my head the Pacific Rim cars and the car controls evolution film were May and Clarkson. I love the dynamic between these two.

Reasonably priced car segment is letting the show down in my opinion during this season. Don't enjoy this dual personality arrangement. If they do insist on retaining it I think they should revert to one.

Didn't enjoy the fox hunt segment but nonetheless better than the stars segment. Hammond is superfluous during the entire duration. Car seemed rather nice though.

Now awaiting the bitter sweet final installment of the season.

Hamster reviewed it way back in series 1 or 2. During the week after the particular episode was shown my next door neighbour bought one - same colour as well! But it was just coincidence, he didn't even know what Top Gear was!

nice episode. although the none of the segments were epic all of them were solid. its a shame they didnt do more crazy stuff with the limos, when i saw the stig in the i10 i though the next thing will be stig + hamster in the i10, hamster with a paintball gun in a game of "escaping from the assasins". imo the angle there should be more of a star / dictator driver and limo then owning a big old limo. still the segment was diffrent and original becuse of the cars used.
quality of the news is improving through out the season.

also i really want them to explain why the GT-R is so fast but i guess thats for nerds and aint cool.
