Pointless graph... again.
Is Dicky going bald? Hence the ridiculous hair covering it up. The Caterham looked fuckin awesome going around. I love when Jezza and Jimmy do there car tests together. Rubber hammer? "Slow down you bitch" ![]() The fishing story can't be true? Stiggy had a yellow umbrella. ![]() ![]() The shopping centre scene was beautiful. The Fiesta test... Ford should pay 'Team TG' millions for that. ![]() Rating: He drove him off the fucking track 1000/10 just for that. ![]() p.s. Seriously awesome episode. |

Wow. Beginning the show with the Caterham suited it nicely. And what a car! The Veritas however, not so. I thought it was hideous, it looked truly disgusting, and it was much slower than the R500. They really should have tested the Levante, but I suppose that may have been too much. Average lap from the Veritas, but from the very start you could see that the Caterham was so much faster - it really shot off the line!
The news was actually a good one; they highlighted Clarkson's...er...media coverage well! But for once I found this segment interesting (I haven't been too fond of previous news'). Plenty of interesting news taking up just enough time. The SIARPC was much better as well. Even though last week was someone who shared a huge liking of V8s with me, Boris cannot go without a miss. I'll be honest, I've not always like him, but today changed me even more towards the fellow. Interesting topics, and who wouldn't like to see some of Clarkson's ideas at the 2012 opening ceremony!! Pretty poor time, but he is a proper eco-warrior, and it was properly wet, so we'll let him off just this once. The communist cars section was very on the ball, with my only quibble being that they told us about lots of cars, in a random order, and only went into detail on a couple of them. But unbelievably hilarious nonetheless. An excellent section with a very funny finale (pushing May off a hillside). S the Brits won the cold war after all! ![]() Finishing off with the Fiesta was a VERY excellent finish to a very excellent show. The way they used the 'letter' to split it up into sections answering questions was brilliant. My favourite; "Is it green?". "Yes, very much so." However the "Can it outrun a Corvette through a shopping centre" and "Can it be used on a tactile assault on land from sea" cannot go without a mention. Epic. Seeing Clarkson being riddled with cartridges when the soldier fired out the window was priceless. And seeing the Corvette lay down it's mark on BHS was also hilarious. Overall, a much better episode. Constantly enthralling, constantly thrilling, and constantly hilarious. I think this one deserves a 10/10. |

Good episode I would say
Kind of missed the communists car piece, so I have to watch that again until I can make a proper judgement, apart from that it was good, especially Boris.

Very awesome episode!!!
I very loved the Fiesta test, especially the shopping centre and the army bit, that was simply amazing. Everything was good and enjoyable, and I loved how Boris might consider Jeremy's ideas for the opening ceremony. Poor Jeremy and his sickness tho. Bless. |

Gotta give this a ten.
Stiggy in the Caterham was epic! Not sure on the Veritas tho, weird looking thing. And pricey too... ![]() News was funny- I remembered Jeremy losing his voice from the Moyles show last week. Synthetic spit...lovely. Commie-cars was actually kind of interesting but funny as hell too. I had little headlamp wipers on a Cavalier once... Boris was good value as always. You've got to love how we can have someone like him as Mayor of London... Mind you, Arnie in California is probably not much different! And the Fiesta review. What else to say, but fantastic. Started off "normally"... but as soon as they hit the shopping centre we were in stitches... (wouldn't like to clean the floor tho...) and then getting the Marines out... And is it green? Yes. And yes, the Eco version probably is sh.... Bloody excellent.

Sheer, utter, lunatic, brilliance.
This is how I think a Top Gear that doesn't feature a major (two-part) film should be. Car-based entertainment at its best

That shopping centre bit was such a surprise, I mean, obviously they were going to do something silly, but that was awesome. Especially with using a Vette too, mega!
It was a really good episode. Loved it. Caterham looked mega on the track too.

I love the Jezza & James films. There is such good chemistry between them. Them constantly trying to outsmart each other, makes it great to watch.
![]() The segments in this episode were definetely weirder than usual. Whatever has the production team been smoking?

10 out of 10 on this one.
Great episode right from the beginning with Hammonds testing of the Caterham and the Veritas. The Veritas looked too much of style over substance and the Caterham does exactly what it needs to. The news was great and had noticed how Clarkson hadn't appeared in the episode up to that point. The Heat Magazine was great and that bloke in the audience definately showed some balls. The SIARPC is always the point in the episode where my attention dips and it could have been the standard fare but Boris did a really good job in bringing some entertainment value to a part of the show where it usually dips. The Communist Cars segment shows just how much fun Clarkson and May have with each other. I had noticed this before with the Polar Challenge, the first car with standard layout in series 10 and in last years series. They both compliment each other well. The KGB-Mobile was awesome especially with James accident and Clarkson holding out his AK-47. The Ford Fiesta is the standout moment of the show, absolutely priceless and just reeks of awesomeness. They could have done this with any car but with a Fiesta it just perfected it. The chase in the Shopping Centre was so much fun and i can't believe that the Health and Safety loons let them get away with it. Well worth it to have seen the Dodge buried inside the Birthdays store and Teddy bears lying across the shop. But the Marines were just outstanding, kudos to the Royal Marines and especially kudos to the Marines who got in the car with clarkson. Like i said before, they could have done this with any vehicle (although the idea of seeing a Ferrari trying to get out of that Landing Craft would have been priceless) but the Fiesta was the right choice and like someone mentioned before, Ford should be paying money for that. Great job Team Top Gear, great episode and best one of the series so far.
