What a great episode. It made me proud to be a car guy again. And it made me proud of the cheery little Volvo 142s sitting the carport that's waiting ready to go do some zero dollar motorsport.

It really did prove that you don't have to have a million dollars to have fun with a car. What an absolutely uplifting episode.

I think we're in the TopGear Golden Days.

I'd love to take credit for the clever bit, but I simply used a store-bought (Apple) cable and it all magically worked.

I'd love to watch EVERYTHING like that... not only topgear! damn you, being a student sucks

oh well, was a great episode nonetheless. as said before, it really made me want to have some cheap car fun thing rally whatever myself. I guess that won't be happening for quite a while

oh btw, congratulations on that old volvo and have a great time with it!

Default Which comic have I seen a small French car like that Ami in?

The way James did up his Ami 8 keeps bugging me. I could swear I've seen a car like that in Franco-Belgian comic strip from the good old days, like Tintin or something else in the Hergé or Franquin vein?

Hello everyone

I'm just going through my old episodes of TG. Right now I'm on the third episode of the 10th series. You know, the one with Peel P50 test done by Jeremy.
And while he was on so called "BBC Meeting" I've noticed a familiar face our midget from this episode

ps. yeah, my first post

Wow, what an episode of contrasts. The guys at the auction went instantly to my Top Five Top Gear moments. And then... the second half, with the race itself. Hideous. Please, please, no more models.

Fantastic SiaRPC, of course. One of the absolute best.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but Richards co driver in this episode has already appeared in top gear once before...

Can anyone name the episode?

8/10

I really enjoyed watching the classic car challenge, although I didn't like the statement at the beginning of classic cars being more exiciting (if not better) than modern ones. Still, I did laugh when Clarkson and May mocked Hammond for buying the Lanchester which was pretty much rubbish as it kept breaking down. The co-drivers were a bit interesting to watch and there were a lot of vintage cars throughout the race.

As for the rest of the episode, I didn't like the Morris Marina incident being brought up during the news, but I like the Z4 vs 350Z review.
