Is there a racist thing about polish people? because during the Mercedes S-class they were laborous and throughout the show Clarkson kept mentioning the Pols.

From what I gather the stereotype over there is that Poland is the Mexico of Europe.

Hmm, hard to score this. Very scripted, but I was laughing my ass off the whole time, so...

Why is everyone so concerned about it being scripted? Top Gear is, and always has been, a scripted program. Trust me if it wasn't scripted it would be fairly boring.

^^ Damn, exactly what I was going to say.

Okay, guys, there were no cars, sure. But the whole point was to make fun of a show that a lot of people watched, and if you think any show isn't partially scripted, then you're a little touched in the head.

Personally I loved Andy's cameo. He was perfect as the gum chewing Pole. And since Ground Force was the first thing I ever watched on BBC Canada this was a dream come true.

Not perfect, but great filler. And more rewatchable than Top Gear of the Pops, imho. 7/10.

Well, I did have a really good laugh, but the screw ups are obvious..... al little too obvious, even for Top Gear standards....

Kinda boring, but I did laugh at a few parts. Watching James' shed get destroyed every 5 minutes was pretty funny, even if it was planned.

Am i mistaken but was the Sport Relief female hostess in red, former SIARPC Davina McCall? If so, it looks like shes put on a bit of weight since her appearance on TG.

I haven't seen it yet, but imagine if it hadn't been scripted. We would have seen some men digging up a garden. Wow how interesting. Also, this wasn't Top Gear so don't look at this as a TG episode...

The Polish aren't another race their white. What you mean is "nationalist". I didn't see "the Mercedes S-class" so I can't comment on that one. To be honest I think he did overdo the Polish think a bit and it was getting quite stupid by the end.

So now what I think about the show. Well, I knew what to expect, I watched it because there was fuck all else on and...it was just as I expected. Shite. A bunch of middle age blokes cocking about in a garden. End of. I couldn't care less if they were the same blokes who presented Top Gear at all, I am not a "fan" of those guys, I only watch their show for the cars but as I said there was nothing else except this shite on so I thought I might as well give it a whirl.

Like some of the latest top gear eps, this was unfunny, blatently obvious and not very entertaining.
I would have turned over, but there was nothing else on!

I thought it was great. Yes, scripted, but so is most of TG. Funniest bits for me were the background bits, like Richard putting the digger in a ditch while Jeremy was actually being half-serious... and the guy on fire randomly in the sped-up bit. I find the proper-obvious gags (like Richard killing the shed(again)) with the crane less funny as you kinda see them coming... but overall I liked

I lol'd at the digger falling over in the background and May's perfect shed being ruined three times in a row.

the chickens were funny too

yeah it's scripted, but so what! 9/10 for comedy gold

Good fun for what it was. Glad I wasn't imaging the one Pole to be Andy Wilman then- nice to see him get on camera again!

Quite happy with how 'scripted' it all was- I mean, just the digger tipping over alone would have been a very carefully set up and executed stunt- the only thing I don't quite believe is Redgrave not knowing about it.

i gave it a 7. funny, but scripted from the second clarkson stepped in the dog crap. the rip would have been much better with that suicide/homeless black kids stuff taken out though. space could have been saved or the rip made higher quality

Yeah, we all know Top Gear is scripted, but seriously, has one of the script writers left or something? Y'know the guy who says "Hang on, this is crap, lets re-write it and make it clever"...

I really like Top Gear, but it's starting to make the Three Stooges look like a documentary...

It was just a little too predictable for my taste, but I did hurt myself laughing at the jet powered rotisserie I think it would have been funnier though, if they had made it work properly and offered the results up with the champagne.
