I love Clarkson!

I just thinks it's funny that he embodies many of the traits he associates with Americans. I don't know if it's satire or if that's just how he is, but it's entertaining, more so than any American entertainer IMO.

I think the funniest part was when Clarkson virtually blew Mays' shed apart, and May shouted "What Have You Done to My Bloody Shed Man!?!?" LOL.

Why is everyone so concerned about it being scripted? It was very predictable but funny as hell!!

And yes, the shed destroying parts was hilarious!

Funny at some parts, but it was unbelievably scripted.

JC is good driver, so why did he run over the bicycle, or run onto kerb? That was exaggeration.

i forget where the source is now, but i remember reading a clarkson interview where he states they script the studio parts, but the film pieces are not scripted at all, they just cobble up any wacky ideas they come up with on the spot.

Having been to watch TG twice myself, I can say that all of it isn't scripted. It's mostly Clarkson that improvises. Like for instance: 10X01 when Clarkson says: "When Vicky Butler Henderson burned the cool wall here, she thought she'd flumoxed us, but it doesn't matter 'cos we're gonna move on (*kicks box*) James May hasn't been killed!" That was all made up lol.

Grotesque Gear Change

Isn't it about time an A.S.B.O. was issued against Jeremy Clarkson's Top Gear tearaways? Top Ground Gear Force (14th March) was a display of irresponsible behaviour and vandalism.

I was expecting a bit of fun as they did a motoring-themed makeover, using car parts and roping in chums. Instead, three inconsiderate adolescents drove two TV formats straight to the scrapheap.

Jeremy Clarkson's arrogance was at its height as he indiscriminately brandished a gun. He then went on to gleefully explain how easy it is to make explosives to blow up a rockery, for no reason other than laziness. It was painful to watch.

Sport Relief's purpose is to entertain and encourage people to donate money. All I thought about was the insensitivity of showing someone owning enough land for this rampant recklessness to take place, the expense of hiring the machinery and buying the plants, concrete shed etc, and the amount required to rectify this appalling display of destruction.

Please issue these three with a restraining order so they aren't allowed near a camera again. If you consider Community Service, make sure they are carefully supervised.

1. It wasn't indiscriminate - he was aiming at specific targets.
2. The Internet provides everybody - including Al Quaeda - with access to sites on how to make explosives.

What's that line in Scarface? 'You've got a look in your eye like you haven't been ****ed in a year'.

I bet the same applies to the letter's author...

Comon man.. TG ground force was the best spin-offs to the show although it was clearly scripted but it was well worth it especially the shed breaking all the time.. it was usual that they might have agreed to replace and repair the lawn after the show filiming because in the en on the Hammond thanks a manager and the guys wife for "arranging" it.. so you can guess...

it was worth watching to see may's shed being wrecked, but i felt so sorry for him, he looked proud of building the shed!

As a TG-Related special: 5 out of 10.
As a random comedy show: 9 out of 10.

Much funnier if you can uncouple your mind from associating this show with TG. It makes the highly scripted nature of this special a lot easier to cope with too.
