I've just realised that James had his hat on the wrong way round. The logo is at the back.

They aren't really allowed to show logos/brands in an obvious way. Like when Jeremy raised a can of Red Bull to the camera in the SLR race episode, he was careful to turn the logo away from the camera.

Of course, he could just have not noticed.

It's not available in the UK, so it's not relevant, they can't be accused of promoting a brand.

Clarkson doesn't promote Ferrari as a brand. He says they're fucking good cars to drive, duh, that's his job!... and if that leads to Ferrari selling more cars then tough.

Exactly, saying that Ferrari is a scaled down version of God is relevant to the car review show. I'm just telling you how it is with brands being obviously featured on non-commercial television, of course James may just have accidentally put the hat on the wrong way around, i wasn't calling for a debate about it.

That's what everyone's life should be like. images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

One thing I found odd was the snowmobile. Is it really that uncommon in Great Britain that it has to be explained as being a jetski with a tank track at the back? And it also opened a new side to the Stig. If the guy who came down with the snowmobile wasn't a stuntman, who was he? I doubt some former F1 driver (or any normal race driver for that matter) would have the guts to do a stunt like that. It's something else to be buckled up in the safety of a car's steel frame than jumping that kind of distances on a snowmobile.
Look at this story. Very similar outfits dont you think?
http://www.aftonbladet.se/vss/nyhete...788722,00.html

If you read the 3rd paragraph you will find this "- Jag blev uppringd av ett brittiskt tv-program som frågade om jag trodde det var genomförbart.", which means "- I got a phonecall from a brittish tv-show asking me if I thought it would be possible."

So this Stiggie was Dan Lang - Pofessional snowmobile rider. End of story

The Stig! kind of...
http://aftonbladet.se/vss/nyheter/st...788722,00.html

Well, it basically ssays that the man in the stig-suit was Dan Lang (24 y.) from Åre, Sweden, and I guess you can make out that he was traveling at 134 km/h (83 mph) when he left the slope.
The text never mentions Top Gear, although it is airing in Sweden. The winter olympics episode hasn't aired yet as far as I know though.

For a questionable translation, try http://www.systransoft.com/index.html
