Absolutely brilliant episode. In Hammond's words, "We are in fact on the cutting edge of cocking about". Great music too (all kinds of little Hybrid clips).

Fantastic episode, however the race between Richard in the bobsleigh and James in the rally car has been on a previous episode I'm sure.

Clarkson "there are twor easons why that isn't going to stop the mini. Firstly it isn't big enough, and secondly you've built it on the wrong slope!"

I'm really impressed by James shooting. I've done some biathlon and it's not easy hitting five out of five standing up.

Its about time the episodes were shown on the BBC website!

What a great episode, ive already watched it 3 times. Whilst i was watching it, i thought it was bit of a cop out re-showing the car v bobsleigh, but really it doesnt make any difference, was still one of the best all time episosdes id say, well worth the download!

They should have made James and Jeremy do some ice skating. images/smilies/lol.gif

That episode showed a side to Jeremy and James' relationship that hasn't been seen before as it's nomally James and Richard that spend the most time together.

And the three of them are even such good freinds that they'd eat snow the other person has pissed on. images/smilies/eek.gif

This episode just blew my mind. Top Gear really is the day dream of every male. Being that 7-year-old kid again with a wicked imagination AND having access to world's fastest and most powerful cars, having the resources to go to the edge of cocking about AND finally, eating golden snow after losing to your mate. That's what everyone's life should be like. images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

One thing I found odd was the snowmobile. Is it really that uncommon in Great Britain that it has to be explained as being a jetski with a tank track at the back? And it also opened a new side to the Stig. If the guy who came down with the snowmobile wasn't a stuntman, who was he? I doubt some former F1 driver (or any normal race driver for that matter) would have the guts to do a stunt like that. It's something else to be buckled up in the safety of a car's steel frame than jumping that kind of distances on a snowmobile.

Yes, other than Scotland we've not had any real amount snow in the UK since the last ice-age.

Very good show, cracked up as JM & JC sat their in T-Shirts after they'd frozen RH.

So want that Jag.

hmm, i have a sneaking suspicion that wasnt the stig driving the snowmobile images/smilies/wacko.gif must of been some extreme snowmobile racing dude. They really are not common here at all, after all we don't really have a need for them most of the time, although i'm sure most people are aware of what they are.

Hammond building the barrier was absolutely hillarious!
JC: Richard Hammond, how's the braking going?
RH: It's going well, it's going well. (Slides past the camera)

HAHAHA, that rivals May's umbrella fall in 06x01 images/smilies/lol.gif

Off o'the bbc comments page :

To all those getting excited over the Top Gear Winter Olympics - grow up, like the presenters should. Cars should be treated with respect, not as schoolboys' playthings. The whole show was a load of rubbish, childish and pointless. Let's have a more serious "consumer" based motoring show dealing with the facts & figures of normal motors relevant to us all, not overpaid presenters wasting our licence fee.
Aaaaahahahahahahahha.

Hi!

This episode... Oh.... This Episode! I can't believe how friggin' good this one was! Cars used in this episode were just amazing! That Jag is just beautiful, I still love the Disco but... let's not forget the heroic mini! Up Up and away little mini, FLY! hahaha! I also thought that the Audi/Volvo race was really good. The H&K Mp5 I love that gun! Absolutely loved this one!

But!

Does anybody know if there is a 700mb version out? The 300 one doesn't really float my boat... images/smilies/wink.gif
