Default 20th Century on SBS 24.8.08

For us non-Englishmen, the series starts on the 24th (the coming Sunday) at 8:30 on SBS. Hopefully, it wont receive the same butchering of editing that SBS has to employ on Top Gear.

Honey I Shrank The World - Top Gear presenter James May takes a tour of the 20th century - trying out for himself some of the most surprising and influential technological advances of the past hundred years. In this first episode, James looks at the inventions that helped to make our world a much smaller place, posing the question of what did most to shrink the world in the 20th century. Was it the aeroplane, the computer, the car or the television? (From the UK, in English) (Documentary Series) *New Series* G CC W

Don't think that they could really butcher it, my favourite episode though would probably have been the first episode.

Fantastic! I'm looking forward to watching. --Though, from my experience in the US with BBCAmerica's hacking of TG eps to fit the 44 minute slot, I also am a little worried about just what will get cut...

It had the same theme music from the BBC for the trailer, so thats encouraging. Plus, its a lower budget show, so it wont have that magic blend of tracks from top gear we all love, and then forced to listen to the SBS bollocks, it would be more of that generic stuff. Anyway, here's hoping.
