I half feel like Tom Cruise was genuinely intrigued by James as though collecting celebrity friends and drop ins are his thing like how rough cuts are Harry Shearer's deal.
TC actually seems a nice bloke - a bit show biz but then that's his job, oh a rather American and he can't help that at all. Daily Fail trying to make something out of nothing - the Stig does not talk and TC knows about it, so he did not feel he was not in the least bit snubbed IMHO. Non story.

TC just really seems to have enjoyed his time on TG. Every time I have seen him since then, he has managed to get the fact he was on TG in even when the other people seemed to have no idea what he was on about.
I think he'd be a good repeat guest.
I can't believe that Tom Cruise is 50. Frickin' 50! He's older than James.
