There exists a miraculous place called amazon.co.uk where the information you seek may be found.

I fear you will have to read to discover it, though.images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

Default Yes, there are boring alternatives

Thanks for a great attempt to ridicule me, really a nice way to treat newcomers here on the site images/smilies/wink.gif

I love reading but just feel that longer books give me a better experience when read to me by a good narrator images/smilies/smile.gif
Great feeling!

I do know about Amazon - On that site i found one audio cassette, it was Borne To Be Riled and just to be clear i did know about it before posting here.
But i just wondered if someone knew about some other way to avoid this hassle, maybe a mp3 site where i could buy the audiobook instead of signing up for Amazon, buying and paying for a audiocassette which "quality-wise" isn't a great gamble. Besides after they ship it to Norway in about a year i'll have to rip it and clean the audio (because i love quality and have the gear for it) import it into iTunes and FINALLY put it on my iPod.

So, i hope there is a better solution although i fear i have to sign up for Amazon anyway.

Still if anyone come across something, please let me and my new "forum family" know images/smilies/biggrin.gif

And yes, i just bought On the Edge and As You Do read by Hammond and i know about one from May too, just have to finish the ones im on images/smilies/tongue.gif

No worries, was a bit moody myself images/smilies/smile.gif

Just finished On The Edge by Richard Hammond - Truly fantastic and moving, read by Mindy (his wife) and Richard.
I truly recommend it! images/smilies/thumbup.gif

+1 for any info regarding Jezza's books on tape. I have a handful of his books in ebook form, but I've been getting into audiobooks lately (just got one on string theory that is fantastic) and would love to hear Jezza reading his own books.

Or maybe James can do it and add in his own notes from time to time images/smilies/tongue.gif

A bit off-topic, but Amazon has MP3 downloads, not just cassettes. I buy all my music from them as they're DRM-free. You can search their MP3 downloads section by "artist" which brings up voiceover artists for audiobooks.

Looks like they don't carry any of Jezza's titles though.

You could also try Audible. (Amazon is connected to them; but why go there when you can go to the source itself, y'know?)

Thanks for the tips, The World According To Clarkson is not read by the man himself, but still is brilliant!
Borne To Be Riled on the other hand is read by Clarkson, i found some parts of it on one of the FTP's

Hammonds new book which is released in 34 days i think comes in a Audiobook form, it picks up where As You Do left off images/smilies/smile.gif

^ Yep, it will be. Unfortunately, like its two predecessors, it'll be abridged. DAMMIT! images/smilies/sad.gif

There is no "America challenge" segment in As You Do. (I own the paperback.)

And I know it's been a few months since I read it, but wasn't the Eviel Kneivel bit like half the book? That's more than abridged.

Not quite half, but a very significant chunk of it. Yeah, I know. I was pissed when I found out, too. images/smilies/mad.gif
