You'll love the extra footage. "How not to reverse a caravan" is one my favourites. images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Not sure yet if he is the real thing, but apparently Oz is on Twitter. Now, that's something I didn't expect. images/smilies/wink.gif

I really liked the one where James is cleaning all of Oz's crap out of the car.
He has such a look of disapproval and disgust... images/smilies/lol.gif

BTW, you'd think they'd have a minion to do that sort of scut work.
That would be a great summer job - gopher for Oz and James.
Clean the car, get some laundry done, fetch some tea and sandwiches for the crew...

Drive them back to the campsite when they've had too many... images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Funny interview with the guys and some mentioning of a fourth series!

So where to next?

James: We will have to see what happens. We could go absolutely anywhere, maybe Australia or Eastern Europe. There's so many countries that have potential. Oz decides where we are going and I just tag along.

If they come to Australia they will most likely go to the Hunter Valley wine regions, which is an hour away from where I live, which means a mini-road trip. And I think I would explode with excitement.

The problem with Australia is that there's probably 6-8 regions they'd need to visit & some are very far apart, so it would be difficult to do a road trip. If they confined it to South Australia they could do it, but then you miss the Hunter Valley (NSW), Yarra Valley (VIc), Tamar Valley (Tas), Margaret River (WA) & various other smaller regions.

Still, if you did stick to SA, you'd get the Barossa, Eden Valley, Clare Valley, Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek, Coonawarra, Padthaway & they could finish at the Magill Estate (orginial home of Penfolds Grange).

BTW, the full Romanian(?) sat nav sequence on the DVD extras is piss funny.

be no different than how they handled north america. where they only went to some select places in california. while theres tons of other places in the country that make some decent wines. not to mention the southern-states area where Whiskeys and such are made (the better known ones anyhow).

They'll probably choose to stay in one state if they come to Australia, which is pretty restricting as far as finding good wines, but better for time and travel constraints. They'll probably choose SA if anything, or maybe NSW because it would be the most easily recognised state and it probably would come a very close second to SA in the vineyard count.

Off topic though- WOAH!!! My local ABC shop (which stocks all the BBC stuff) finally got seasons 1 and 2 of Oz and Jame's Big Wine Adventure in! I only got season 1 because I thought I would be buying some CDs later and ended up not doing so, so I may go back today and get season 2 (the outtakes in the season 1 DVD have made me want the other season more). No expected delivery date on Drink to Britain yet and they refuse to bring in the books just for me too.

I wouldn't be shocked to see a food based program, across europe. A sort of what the best drink with a particular countries food show, hitting all of Europe's major culinary nations and regions. (and probably germany =P) I think it would be interesting, and really if it was a month long trip they could go from england, hit northern europe and head south getting france, spain, italy, germany, possibly even greece if they were willing to go that far out of the way.

They've already done France; but, of course, that was wine-centric.

Germany wouldn't be too shabby; but then I think James would have to be restrained from talking about the War. images/smilies/wink.gif

this almost confused me, since where i live, ABC shops are the state run liquor stores, and i never seen them stock dvds! images/smilies/tongue.gif
