I don´t know where to ask so sorry if it´s OT. Does anybody know the name of the song when JC shows Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano? Thanks for any help.

I am intrigued by Amazon's special edition, complete with 'Making Of Bonus Disc'.

Actually, it is the bonus disc that intrigues me more than the DVD...

I'm starting to get annoyed by his fact stating, he seams to get one wrong every minute. Especially the rover bit. If it is a 216 then it doesn't have 103bhp, that's the 1.4. And the MG ZR's turbo he supposedly fitted doesn't exist, as the ZR uses the identical engine lineup the 200 uses.
So that leaves a diesel turbo, but that isn't anywhere near as big as what is visible under the hood.
Which also shows the engine is an 8 valve unit, which clears up the engine-identity crisis, as is can only be the 75bhp 1.4 base unit. Not a 216/111bhp and not 103bhp either.

It probably would have been fun to see what actually happens when you spend 5000 pounds or so on a mediocre car like this rover, and then compare it to something like a BMW 330 or something.

Well if you really dont think my one is any good (now that you know that the source wasnt so hot) then sure, I will be happy to work with you again.

Think I shall give xvid and x264 (lower bitrate/smaller file size, but more powerful pc needed to view) a shot and see what its like...

you don't really need x264 for live action dvd's, it only becomes the choice with HD and animation.

How do you do yours anyway? 2 pass?

Yeh I used it for the TG HD special with 2 pass, and I am sure its still better than sending a 4 gig iso around. I dont have it yet anyway, and I wouldnt be surprised to see it show up on mininova before I do, (the retail has been out all day I think).

I'd never thought I'd be saying this: But I felt that the lineup of cars was boring.. Where were the CCX-R, the Zonda or the 911 GT2? We have seen most of those cars a number of times on Top gear already.. Especially the Veyron...

I thought the DVD was great, i agrre with you on the music. I actually watched it on the more car less music option which was just brilliant as you get so much more noise. I was disapointed about the lack of the CCX and the fact he reused line but thats my only real complaint. Jeremy did what he does best and thats to convey the scence of enjoyment that he gets from driving. Im also surprised nobodies picked up on the Sabine vs stig race which i thought was great, especiaal Sabine's reactions and also Jeremys intro for her. I wont spoil wot the result was but i really think that TG should try and get her to do a few more thinks with them as she has a great personality. Overall id give it 8/10

After seeing it, it was quite good, this.

The fact that he had time to actually talk about each car rather than rush through it so they have time to show nonsense was great.

If I had paid money to see that I would have felt ripped off. I dont think it was as good as Heaven and Hell or The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.
