No, I'm not daft.

I just think Clarkson's solo videos dilute his own image and that of Top Gear. His older ones were decent and back then Top Gear was a lot less entertaining, but recently it seems he's doing them out of pure want of the money being offered.

They're cheesy to the max, and don't they always end up in the 99 pence bins? Or is that the case with all videos over in the UK?

But as I said before, I will still be looking forward to this.

from the trailer it looks absolutely fantastic. exactly what we want from clarkson. im a bit worried that maybe all the good stuff has been shown in the trailer though and watching it a second time won't be as effective.

You f****** prig, it isn't a TV show funded by british tv licence fees or advertisement.
It's an independent production, funded by private parties. And sharing it for free with other is nothing less than stealing.

It's also the staple source of income for guys like myself, and others. The crews don't earn even half of what Clarkson does off these so it's unfair to take that away.

I was unaware that crew are paid as a function of DVD profits.

BTW, JC doesn't sell DVD's in Canada, and even if I imported one it wouldn't work in my DVD player. I'm still going to watch it, and I'll give you three guesses how I'm going to do it.
