If you look closely at the first ep introduction, you can see a Panda. IIRC.

That one might be the quickest, but it's not the fastest. And surely far away from the most beautiful... images/smilies/mrgreen.gif

But to answer your question, no news on it, yet.

I think the Flying Spur is one of the quickest sedans out there too; it can reach 200mph in stock form. The looks itself is astonishing, speed is not the issue for this car images/smilies/smile.gif

yes it is images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

from Bentley website: 0-100 in 5.2 sec and top of 190Mph
M5: 0-100 4.7 sec ( but already measured at 4.3sec ) and top of +200Mph
And let's not even begin about tracktimes images/smilies/lol.gif
They're just pro-brittish again, I'm not saying the Bentley isn't a great car but it is NOT the fastest saloon in the world.

Mercedes-Benz CLS 55 AMG is as quick as the M5, 4.7 sec. after the Brabus tuning it does not to sixty in 4.3 sec.

Like I said earlier, the M5 was tested faster than the 4.7 sec, all M-cars share that. The CLS hasn't, and it doesn't have all the practicality the M5 has. I don't get it, MB wants to promote the CLS as a coupé but everybody compares it to the M5. Maybe it's because most realise that the M6 would KILL the CLS even more than the M5 would.

who cares about 4.7 or 4.3 0-60?! Neither of them are sports cars, just really fast 4 door pimp sedans. The Bentley has the luxury (and a decent amount of speed) the CLS has a good amount of both and the BMW has the Speed...but not a whole lot of tq.

I just want to know when the F430 and 430 Spider are going to be tested, I've been waiting for that all season.

That max speed of the M5 it's only reachable if you mod the car. And you can't wear a top hat on the back seat as you can in the Bentley. I know I don't want to wear a hat, but it's just to show that the purpose of the Bentley is not track time. For that, I think it's a lot more incredible than the M5. And the Flying Spur reaches more than 190mph, btw.
One funny story of the Flying Spur development is that the chief engineer was sitting on the trunk while the car was being driven in a road in South Africa, where some cars are authorized to drive without speed limits. He was trying to find some annoying noise, and was telling the driver to drive faster. And then faster. And even faster. Faster yet. At a given time he told the driver "Come on, faster. I'm almost finding it." The driver only said "I'm doing more than 300km/h, what more do you want me to do?"...
It's easier to do a track saloon where everyone will forget a little harshness from the suspension and some noise from the transmission than to do a smooth limo that can do 200mph.

Accroding to July's issue of Road and Track magazine, Bentley claims the top speed of the Flying Spur is 195mph; however the mag editor drove the car to 200mph. Whatever the max speed the Flying Spur can reach, one thing is for sure - it's definitely one of the fastest luxury sedans out there that money can buy images/smilies/biggrin.gif

It's THE fastest, because the others that could pass it are limited. images/smilies/tongue.gif

Pretty much every supercharged V8 AMG can top 200 mph. It's just that they're not... allowed. Nevermind that nearly every European AMG owner rechips their car- it would be pointless otherwise. I wonder if there will be a day when the 155 mph agreement is consigned to history, like the 274 hp gentleman's agreement in Japan...

I prefer the CLS 55 to the M6. It's almost as quick or quicker in every regard, it's better to drive 95% of the time (that is, off the track), the interior is more luxurious, and the looks- well, that's no contest. images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I'll agree with 3Colin here, S65 would reach 200MPH with over 600BHP but are sold with a limiter images/smilies/sad.gif

It's not because they're sold with a limiter that they aren't faster. Figures are figures, these cars are able to go faster than the Bentley, therefor the Bentley isn't the fastest salooncar in the world.

Car's like the M5 or S65 are certainly faster than the Bentley when the limiter is removed, but then then the cars aren't stock any more, they are modified then. So the Bentley Continental Flying Spur can be called the fastest salon, even though other cars could be faster.

I am not so sure about the Alpina B5 though, it might be in the region of the Flying Spur, but again be could argue about it being a modified 5series.

The new Fiat Panda 4x4, with a 1.2 litre engine and 60 BHP.

Or so I gather from FG.
