I predict they all prefer the Aston for reasons of aesthetics and soul.

Who in their right mind would choose a M6 over a 911 C2S or a AM V8?

I think you're right. They'll say the 911 is better but the Aston... just look at it... The M6 is just like a muscle car, when compared to the others.

Just to be clear about this, Top Gear called it the Enzo an F60 for some unfathomable reason, but the Enzo is NOT the F60, and there will be a car along soon which is presently expected to be known as the F60.

Well, referring to the Enzo as "F-60" isn't correct at all .. as they will make another supercar later on and it being named the "F-60" ....

Besides, the F-40 was to celebrate Ferraris 40 years, and the F-50 Ferraris 50 years, and the Enzo wasn't ....

That's a BS comparison ... if you are going to compare those cars, you might as well point out the the F-50 didn't use turbo, like the F-40 did .............

Damn it ... Vmax beat me to it ...........

lol, by almost 3 hours haz!

And yeah, you can't compare the F40, F50 or Enzo. They're all completely different in terms of the engines, technology. They're as good as each other in their own unique ways.

As Haz has correctly stated, the F40 was to celebrate 40 years of Ferrari, F50 was 50 years of Ferrari. The Enzo production run was finished well before the 60th anniversary of the marque, there will be another car for that purpose, and it will be named the F60.

wrong .. when the enzo was first shown it was calld the Enzo Ferrari F60 ..
when they started to giv them to the owners they changed it to Ferrari Enzo ..
i remember like it was yesterday that on ferraris own site .. it was calld the "Enzo Ferrari F60"
now .. Ferrari Enzo .. they droped the F60 and put enzo behind Ferrari.. so now the Enzo is just a name.. but it was like a "new higher brand " when it was shown for the first time.,..

The name "F60" was never used from the moment the car was released - nobody I know recalls ever hearing it before that from Ferrari themselves either (one of the people I checked with had a deposit on one), but maybe it was, who knows. The fact remains though, that the official name at release and ever since has been "Enzo", no F60 anywhere.

FX was the codename. F60 may or may not have been used to refer to the prototype before it was launched, but it has NEVER been used by Ferrari post-launch. You're welcome to disagree, but you'll be wrong.

Does it matter? No.

It's not now, so it isn't an F60.

images/smilies/rolleyes.gif Read what VMAX wrote - he said that the "F60" name was never used POST-LAUNCH. That means AFTER they started selling it. He's also saying that they MAY have used the F60 name earlier, which is what you are saying.

I just do, The Hamster drove it a few weeks ago for the test drive bit and he also liked it, he said that May will like it but obviously Clarkson won't. There's a sketch/piss take about the owner of Ascari with a reference to a James Bond film!!! And if you know what he looks like you'll know what Bond film it is.
