About 10 more pics from the rehearsals and filming.
With the new series of Top Gear kicking off this Sunday at 8pm on BBC Two, we snuck down to the studio to find out what was going on behind the scenes.
Stumbling bleary-eyed into the TG hangar for rehearsals, we're surprised to find that the boys have actually got round to buying some new furniture. Looks expensive, eh?
Five minutes into rehearsals, and Jeremy's already forgotten his lines. Either that or he's suddenly become camera-shy. Must be the line-forgetting, then.
A heated debate ensues on set. Digestives or Rich Tea biscuits? The scruples that face telly's top car-presenter types.
See that tiny wire dangling down from Jeremy's ear? That's piping 'The Best of Phil Collins' straight into his brain, that is. Keeps him calm.
The audience are filing in, but James and Richard are too comfy on their new sofa to move. Can you guess which car the new furniture has been culled from?
James perfects his '80s stadium rock god' pose. Either that or his leather jacket is a few sizes too small...
James meets a couple of his biggest fans outside the studio.
The studio's full to the brim, so it's almost time for proper filming to begin. See that gent in the background in the 'I Am The Stig' t-shirt? He isn't.
Stig was out on track thrashing seven shades of carbon fibre out of the Ferrari Scud at the time.
If you think Jeremy's gesturing about something technical like sound levels or camera angles here, you're wrong. There's a runner in the background mouthing 'cup of tea?' at him.
Lights, camera, relative inaction! We're off and running on the new series of Top Gear. Make sure you're tuned in to BBC Two on Sunday at 8pm, and check back to TopGear.com for all the post-show fallout.
