Because it's highly staged, and edited. A rally car has much better uses than showing off.

He has incredible post production skills and an unlimited budget. How many times has he even seen the checkered flag? He wrecks out of most rallies, usually in the first few corners. Real rally drivers do far more insane driving than he does, just not as good PR.

Seems like a good episode this week. So eager to see Ken Block in action. Bit meh about the SL Black but Michael McIntyre is good, very funny on Mock the Week.

He's a 40-something year old who co-founded a major shoe company (DC Shoes). He just started rallying a few years ago and he found that he enjoyed it. No one is claiming he's the greatest driver to drive on dirt.

If you don't like scripted and choreographed stunts that are edited to look good then why do you watch top gear?
