Top Gear

Sunday 26 July
8:00pm - 9:00pm
BBC2

Motoring news and views. Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May immerse themselves in the world of classic cars to find out if they really are more fun than modern machinery. Armed with a budget of 3000 pounds each, they attempt to buy a pre-1982 car at auction. The trio are then sent to Majorca to take part in a classic car rally. Also in the show, Jeremy drives with dinosaurs in the new BMW Z4 and Nissan 370Z, and rock god Brian Johnson is the star in the Reasonably Priced Car.

EDIT: Thanks Viper for moving it.

Are the stars paid for their appearances? Here they often aren't especially for talk shows and such although they are usually openly promoting something.

From Wikipedia on Brian Johnson:

Quote:
A car and racing enthusiast, Brian Johnson currently enjoys racing his vintage race cars: a Royale RP-4 and a Pilbeam MP84, which he races in vintage and historic races throughout the United States.
Didn't know that before...so we got a rock god AND a petrolhead in the same person...should be interesting images/smilies/smile.gif (and he's appearing in the episode where the three blokes also do some vintage car racing...just coincidence?)

No, they moved it to 13x06 in favour of a review of the Jaguar XFR.

Saw AC/DC twice in the late 70's, early 80's. Both times with Bon Scott.
My taste in music as improved considerably since then.

No it has not - saw them in 1974 - 7 people in the audience (I counted them) as I knew how bloody good they are - Bon was a Mega Star and is sadly missed.

The band were very very lucky to get Brian he is similar but different (if you know what I mean) - AC/DC is a fantastic band.

You can't improve from perfection, so your statement makes no sense.

You realize that they're going to destroy those classic cars, right?
And probably in horribly contrived staged accidents as well.

Ummm....what....?!? Please tell me you are joking ? Are you actually trying to say, that you have no idea who or what AC/DC is ?!?

If this is somekind of sarcasm then I am really not detecting it...
