I like my music a bit more melodic with lots of keyboards. Don't care for a second guitarist who's mostly bashing out chords.
They were very good when I saw them. They blew Arrowsmith away and went toe to toe with UFO.
They were the opening act.
I have permanent hearing damage from the AC/DC UFO gig. Loudest show I ever saw by far.

I thought so. Their music has proven to be what I'd call extremely "durable." If you click around youtube you're likely to find other songs you know as well. I'm rather enjoying listening myself. I wouldn't call myself a fan in any way, but it's just the kind of thing you sit back and say "yeah, this is good stuff." It's amazingly not dated although I do sort of feel like going to a skating rink and going around to this soundtrack on 4 hard wheels (not silly inlines). images/smilies/smile.gif

The Majorca rally bit has potential being brilliant. I hope we see them prepping their cars and taking it bit seriously like the 24h race and not just make a mess of it.

I totally agree. The 24h race episode is one of my all-time favorites and if they take some of the spirit of this weeks episode to the next one it will be fan-bleeding-tastic images/smilies/wink.gif

Only one episode after this...and the the review in this one is of the ugly facelifted Z4. So will the new Scirocco, V12 Vantage and R8 V10 vs. ZR1 will be crammed into the last episode of this series or not be shown this series at all? images/smilies/sad.gif

Refer to the preview clip from the first episode of this series if you dont' know what I'm on about.

I'll be watching this from Edinburgh on vacation. I know this is pathetic but I'm excited to be able to watch it on it's original airing. Unfortunately, that means I won't be able to watch 13x07 because I'll be in Paris. Unless the hotels there have the BBC.

Anyway, I like the Z4 and the 370Z, but what I wanna see is the Infiniti G37. Also the new Mustang and Camaro.

I really want this and the last episode (apparently they're spreading the Rally event to two episodes, don't know why but it's a big gamble for them) to be really good. I have been a bit dissapointed by this season to be honest and I believe that i'm not alone on this point. It had potential at the start with the epic race and the 17 y.o challenge but the last three episodes haven't really hit the spot for me IMO.

I do hope that they take a long break after this series and reconsider their thoughts and ideas on what should be in the show. It worked for S10.

So in the last episode there is going to be:

- ZR1-R8V10
- Airport Bus Race
- Whatever that Coffin thingy is
- Scirroco
- Leno?

Thats going to be a tight to fit all together... Drop the Airport Bus race IMO...

Just in case this isn't common knowledge re the Sirocco...
Spoiler Text: (Click here to toggle display)
I think the Sirocco is part of the challenge where they're making car ads - saw this mentioned somewhere maybe TG blogs??

Brian Johnson? Wow and fuck me! The SIARPC car next week is going to be a dead cricket commentator. And right in the middle of the Ashes series too!! Great timing! I can just imagine the meeting "Raising the dead? How hard can it be?"

How the fuck have they managed that?

Sorry, but this is the 3rd/4th (if you count the "Cheap and Cheerful" challenge) cheap car challenge this series. We had the 17-year olds one, the RWD sports cars last week, and now this. Do we really need all those cheap car challenges in one series? Don't get me wrong, I think those challenges can be downright hilarious. I just think they've crammed too many into one series. If you're going to have multiple cheap car challenges, have one at the beginning of the series, and one at the end. Sort of like Series 12 where they had cheap lorries at the start and the cheap motorbikes at the end of the series.

Any idea when they might review the Ferrari California? Seems odd that there is a new Ferrari and still no review in Top Gear.

I mean the episode of last sunday wasn't that funny with the RWD in the snow/ice... Just trying to prove a point that you need 4WD for ice. Why is it the BBC cuts fundings for Top Gear when it has to be their most popular show? Or not? As i'm always seeing ads on BBC1/2 for new drama shows... boring to be honest!

I hate to be the one to break it to you, (and quite a few other people who have complained about budget cuts) but unfortunately there is a sizeable proportion of BBC licence fee payers who are not into TG .images/smilies/rolleyes.gif
Now you & I know there must be something wrong with them images/smilies/wink.gif but the BBc does have to cater to them as well.
I might say that i also like a good bit of Beeb drama meself sometimes!
I also think this is another good reason for TG to sort out the music copyright issues & release DVD boxsets that haven't been cut to buggery as literally millions of people would buy them. They could then negotiate to spend the profits on the show. Hey i can dream....images/smilies/biggrin.gif
