Actually, I think TopGear would be a lot better if it had a smaller budget.

I think they were talking excluding the episode which was about to air. Radio Times online certainly lists TG in its usual timeslot on August 2nd, which would be 13x07.

This sounds like a great episode.
I love those episodes when they buy a car do some races and such with. The africa episode and the US and A one is my favourites =)

How about the Aston Martin V12 vantage. Saw it in the preview as well. I just hope they're not cramming all the rest of those stuff in the last episode.

I did see AC/DC back in '85 (or was it '86?) with Yngwie Malmsteen as the opener. That was a loud show! And a good one! Brian Johnson does a fair bit of vintage road racing, so expect to see a fast time from the Reasonably Priced Car. As for the complaints about the cheap car challenges, I like them, so the more the better I say! Especially cars I've owned (Porsche 944), my neighbors have owned (Volvo wagon) and ones I've wanted (300ZX, Golf). Keep it real!

I wish it were real. They use to be hilarious good fun when they took it seriously.

But the trouble is now is that they want to keep their audience and the only way to do that is to make them laugh, unfortunately. It's not what it was use to, yes, but I'd rather lose them when petrolheads are keen to watch it for its purity than everyone watching them and making a fool of themselves.

I'm usually able to suspend disbelief and enjoy the show while I'm watching it. But once it's over and I have time to think about it, it loses it's humor. I think it's fair to say that the funniest parts of the cheap car challenges are when they lose. When bad things happen. Those are the funniest moments. But if they're not actually trying to win, and losing isn't a big deal, then the humor lessens. Knowing that the show is scripted, that the stunts are staged, and that none of the presenters really care about winning or losing, pretty much destroys the humor of those segments for me. They have no repeat value. It's like watching someone snag the last piece of cake away from someone who really wanted it. That's funny. But snagging the last piece from someone who didn't want it and couldn't care less... not so much.

Somehow I can't get to the spoiler section, so I'll post it here instead.
Twitter lead me to another interview with Madison Welch, James's erm..lovely co-driver in this episode. Here is the link. Very much NSFW! In case you don't want to click, here's the text. (Not the pics. )Spoiler Text: (Click here to toggle display)

LC, you need to go into the social groups thing and join the "I want to see the spoilers" group. I think there's a link on the main page in the "stop posting spoilers here" thread.

Kick ass guest, I'm actually seeing AC/DC next month, August 22 to be exact. I've been looking forward to the classic car rally for a while now

Woot!!!! I can't wait to see Brian Johnson!
I wonder if Jeremy will jokingly ask him "When you sing...are there any actual words?"

One question (probably irrelevant in this thread though); remember that stunner who was in a hatchback with James as shown on the trailers in EP1..when do I (or we) get to see her? Is it in tonight's episode?
