What the F!ck?!
I was really looking forward to the V12 Vantage and the ZR1 n' R8.
Atleast we got the scirocco and Jay.
WTF is a boring ass A3 doing in a Studio, its not even an S3. Last 2 episodes sub-par...
And Jay's lap and interview were filmed LIVE, it was just live 4 Wednesday's ago. I don't see how you can be all torqued out about that? It's not new. Like everyone said, they did it with Cowell and who knows if they've done it with others and we just didn't notice. How's this a big deal?
Were you referrfing to me? Because if you were, it's not that I'm not bothered about when they filmed Jay's lap and interview, I could care less when they filmed it. I'm bothered by Lewis Hamilton making a second appearence. Since when have any of the F1 drivers gotten a second chance at the Liana? Hell, they didn't even give Schumi a proper go.
if youre refferring to me.. im not complaining about when leno was filmed either. personally i think its been long overdue and he should be one of the better guests on the show....ever. i was jus wondering how it would be done during the recording of the episode with the segment already recorded before.
Im really very suprised to see them putting an HSV Maloo around the track in that rehearsal gallery. Its essentially if you couldnt tell or didnt know, the HSV Clubsport R8, which of course across the pond is the Vauxhall VXR8. I really am surprised to see one of those in britain, itd be good to find out what its time would be and watch it go roundthe track and it would be the first ute ever round the TGTT.
Is vauxhall considering importing that and badging it as a Vauxhall VXR8 Ute?
^^
I don't think Utes are popular anywhere else in the world unfortunately. I love the ute, they're quite handy for tradies and farmers. But I think the VXR8 Bathurst is tuned by Walkinshaw where the normal HSV R8 isn't, but you can get it tuned here too. (They had it on TGA S2, called it "The Superclubby" but I didn't like the noise that the supercharger made)
"Utes" by that name are pretty much an Oceania thing however pickup trucks are enormously popular in the US. I think the F150 is the best selling vehicle is it not. However our pickups are typically larger and look like an SUV versus the sedan that Holden seems to be generated from (I Googled them, they look so bizarre to me). SUVs are pretty much pickups with the back bit enclosed and dressed up. Pretty much everyone is selling a pickup in the US these days even Cadillac and VW. We have plenty of small pickups but the body shape is quite different.
Your utes remind me of the old Chevy El Camino popular in the late 60s and 70s.
For reference most US (and European that I've seen) pickups look like that Hilux the boys tried to destroy.

Jay Leno himself filed this report on YouTube. There are no spoilers as to what time he did, so it's safe to watch.![]()

Hey! That's a different video! Why'd they make the first bit the same? I dismissed it until I saw those quotes I didn't recognize. And ugg, Jay is still acting weird. I'm looking forward to Sunday though. I just hope he doesn't make a fool of himself in the interview.
Edit: I suppose if we have that clip in here, we may as well have this one. Roughly 50% overlap in footage (from Jay's Garage website). I don't know how to imbed this type of video though, so link only:
