The BMW 1 Series elbows its way into the world of the small hatchback, Jeremy and James look at the range of cars flooding the market from South East Asia and the Ariel Atom takes to the track. Meanwhile, Richard splashes about in a supercharged German army half track and Trinny and Susannah are this week's Stars in a Reasonably Priced Car.

This is my first time chiming in. Many thanks to VUK and Viper for their relentless pursuit of TG & FG perfection. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. I mean really - can any one stomach Motorweek/Autoweek (SpeedChannel) or Motoring 2004 (TSN) episodes after watching these gems??

Thanks guys.

Now, I'm a Clarky fan, but my guess is that Trinny & Susannah are going to give him what for on his shabby-chic attaire. In other words, they'll crucify him - as they are wont to. Either that or they can make fun of Hamster's dodgy shirts. Or James' hair....

For those in North America - these are the original "What Not To Wear" girls from the BBC. Long before the TLC knock-off and the Queer Eye blokes these ladies were putting the boots to anyone in acidwash jeans and shaker knit sweaters. They are merciless.

Uhstra... Offtopic but... Your avatar just looks like the dashboard of the Rinspeed Bedouin, am I right?

First post - wanted to get a few things off my chest. Plus I've seen far worse digressions in this category than mine.

Not the Bedouin, although I see the similarity. Its the AMV8 prototype dash.

Halftracks are actually pretty well phased out of most modern armies, its interesting that the Germans still have some.

Finally, the BMW 1! How come they didn't test it earlier? It could be the best small car for 2004 and they didn't get it on the show until now.
