Default Another one bites the dust...

EDIT - Turns out this was for Jeremy's DVD, "Duel".

Yes, a Morris Marina.

Quote:
Motormouth Jeremy Clarkson has left his mark on Neath, and has predictably left a trail of destruction in his wake.

The Top Gear presenter and Richard Hammond have been filming at one of the show's favourite locations, Black Mountain Pass on the west side of the Brecon Beacons.

And although the BBC is staying tight-lipped on what viewers have in store when the show's 14th series airs later this year, the Evening Post has had a sneak peek thanks to Neath mechanic Alan James.

And we have bad news for fans of the Morris Marina.

Top Gear is hunting them down one by one. That's the only way to eradicate the Morris Marina Owners' Club, with no more Marinas left to own.

Oh, I mean Careless Air is accidentally taking them out one by one. images/smilies/tongue.gif

They've a way to go yet. At our local classic car show recently, there was a lone Marina on display with a card in the windscreen stating the same statistic, that there are only 745 Marinas left registered in the UK. That's going to be a terrible waste of 745 pianos.

I just feel bad for all that kamikaze pianos who are giving their lives to eradicate the Morris Marina. Maybe Top Gear should pick up some anvils? They can be reused, and they have a classic Road Runner/ Wile E. Coyote cartoon vibe.

At this rate, TG will be destroying as many Morris Marinas as they have caravans.

Yeah, that article in the first post says 800 out of 800,000+ that were sold in Britain, making it the most written off car in British history (so it claims).

Now, the challenge is to get caravans attached/co-located with the Marinas, two birds, one stone!

The Morris Marina Owners Club are going to have to get creative with their letters. In a sad way I wanna see if they can top "I shall throw poo in his face."

They got close with car darts if you remember (caravan killed by Volvo) but I agree heartily. With the popularity if the show and less than 800 Marinas left in the UK it can only be a matter of time.

What I want to see now is one of the Marina people try to stop them on the basis that they're either destroying an endangered species or committing genocide. You laugh at the insanity, but remember who we're talking about here.

go back to what was done a few years ago with car darts-sort of. besically, caravans laid out in the shape of a dart board, and fling marinas at them.as you say, 2 birds with 1 stone.
