Did anyone notice that the Desert (unfriendly) piece they did is going to be an entire show in Series 10 ?

I really didn't understand what the were doing there, and I recognised none of their cars... African Stig is a good idea though

Didn't they mention that in the magazine? images/smilies/rolleyes.gif Don't have it here now, but I am pretty sure. So someone will have noticed.

I can't think though what they are going to say. Complaining about the people of Botswana won't be as accepted, easy and funny. Americans are just to easy to take the piss out of 8)

They'll probably just laugh at each other and the cars that they have gotten, I'll bet they'll do nothing except complain about the heat as well! Should be a good episode thou, very odd place to go for a challenge!

There was an article in the mag written by Hammond

The cars there using are
Hammond: 1964 Opel Kadett (He named it Oliver, and hes keeping it)
Clarkson: Lancia Beta Coupe
May: An old Merc

They were also met my the President of Botswana before they set off.

Sounds like it will be a good episode, Apparently May and Carksons cars just sank in the Salt flats so they tried lightening them by removing body panels.

That merc looks like a w123. Weighing about 1500kg...not the lightest imaginable car, however its like a tank! I am looking forward to this a lot images/smilies/smile.gif
