Default James May has been in a airship crash landing

Apparently he was unhurt.

And, predictably, Richard's crash is mentioned. Since airships toting caravans are directly related to jet cars on runways. They also brought up a Jeremy "crash" that I can only assume was the truck + brick wall incident? Oy.

It's too bad they won't be showing it. I'll bet James in an airship is hilarious.

I noticed that too, but they did not seem to really know what Jeremy's crash was about and did not mention the fact that he crashed on purpose.

Same story on the BBC website

Same story on the Torygraph website

Glad to read that James and the rest of the crew were unhurt. At least he has a nice story for in the pub tonight.

Well, according to this evening's London Lite, footage of May's crash will be aired in November...

Given that no one involved was injured (although apparently some cricketers were confused) can you imagine them NOT including it?

They will probably blame it of Mays sense of direction and just say he landed in the wrong place.

OK, a crashing caravan blimp... How could they NOT include that?

Is there any possibility that this will be one of a series of "How to go caravanning without blocking our roads" films?

Should be awaiting "Amphibious caravan sinks, drowning Richard Hammond" or "Subterranean caravan hits pipeline, Clarkson killed in explosion" headlines?

In 2008 Jeremy Clarkson had a miraculous escape after a high-speed car crash while filming the show.
What are they referring to? The lorry through the brick wall or the crash on his scooter?

The scooter could hardly be qualified as "high speed."

Anyway, same story on Transmission blog by the Mole.

That Mole post suggests the footage will be used, we'll have to wait and see. Also,

I don't know. A couple years on I'd tell the story in the pub as having a rocket strapped to the scooter going head first into a burning building to save the baby Jesus and a litter of puppies. While terrorists are setting off nuclear bombs.

Lost three arms and four legs, but the doctors were able to save two of each, so no worries.

Can't help thinking that it probably wasn't quite so hilarious for James and the crew as they plummeted (albeit probably quite slowly, if you can plummet slowly) to earth - not a criticism of previous posters, just an observation. The name Hindenburg might have been racing through a few minds.

And yes, I can't wait to see it too!
