If ever proof were required that the guys at Top Gear pay attention to these forums, the 4 page preview in the new mag kind of provides it, but at least they have confirmed some of our suspiscions and cleared up a few questions.
The track will host the 430 Scuderia and Bentley Brooklands amongst others, and there is supposed to be a twist in the Reasonably Priced Car segment(?). Also they celebrate 50 years of Touring Car racing and for some reason 25 years of the Austin Maestro (for our American cousins think AMC Pacer without the style or the build quality!!!). No mention of the new "character" Cheap Car Challenges Alfa Romeos for less than £1000 Disposable Police Cars - again for less than £1000, so we can get some really good action on Cop! Action! Kill! from the British police who are too worried about smashing up their expensive kit. Classic Luxury for Mondeo money - James and Jeremy take on a series of tests in their own Corniche/Mercedes Grosser to see if they really would have been better off buying a Mondeo Races Audi RS6 vs Skiers - Richard goes to the Alps and speaks bad French before taking on a couple of skiers Top Gear vs D-Motor - The boys take on Sabine Schmitz and her colleagues in a series of automotive challenges whilst trying not to mention the war. And the biggie..... Nissan GT-R vs Bullet Train - the usual format but without wishing to hype it up too much this has the makings of being an absolute corker!!! Can't wait!!!

I can't wait for this one! My cousin had an experience with one of these (Alfa 33) and it didn't end well - very similar to what happened to Jeremy's Maserati in series 7. The whole cylinder block simply exploded - there are huge holes in it right now
Surprisingly the car had no rust... |

The proof is simply thus - if you read the original post I said "they have confirmed some of our suspicions". They know that the presenters are so well known that it's impossible to keep everything a total secret, as people with camera phones are bound to snap them filming stuff and give clues as to what's going to be coming up. The preview in the mag is very careful ONLY to detail the things that were already known or strongly suspected and doesn't really give away anything else, therefore suggesting strongly that the team check what we know/suspect so they don't give away any more than they have to. They don't even release preview DVD's to the BBC's own "Radio Times" TV listings magazine in an effort to keep as many surprises as possible.

So... just because they did a preview of the upcoming series, which they have since yonks ago and because it just happens to confirm the suspicions and discussions we've had on this forum, it means they pay attention to us? It would be awesome if they actually did that or even considered our input, but I see no evidence of that. Andy Wilman's blog, on the other hand, mentions us by name. THAT is evidence, old boy.

I hope we can find evidence in the matter of how much less "Top" and how much more "Gear" TG will be in S11 - if you know what I mean.

Once again you are missing the point of what I am trying to say. I know they have always done previews in the mag as I have had a subscription for years. My point is that by choosing ONLY to reveal the stuff for which we have already photographic or other evidence, or where our speculations have come very close to what they are actually doing, and keeping anything we don't already know about as a surprise, SUGGESTS strongly that they pay attention to the Spoilers section in order not to give away anything else. Pretty much everything they have confirmed can be found in the spoilers section already, so what appears in the mag isn't news as such to anyone who cares to do some research to find out what's happening in the new series. BTW "Old Boy"? I am 38, you are 23 - if I want to be patronised I can go back to my old job, thank you very much!!!
