I'm probably joining the ranks of Romania's drivers tomorrow. Hopefully not the ranks of the pathetic brigade.

I'll need it, thanks. A lot of the roads regularly used for the practical exam are in terrible condition, mostly because of tram lines and manhole covers.

We'll have to wait to see what the Aston actually is... what we know for sure is that they're all convertibles.

Also, on the previous page, it was posted that the Transfăgărăşan will be closed on Thursday and Friday, probably because of TG filming there.

When found out that Top Gear were filming in Romania I didn't believe it. I hope it will be a " Romanian Special ". Or some kind of road trip like 10x01 or 07x03. I can't wait. Wanted to be in Bucharest today but no chance . But still i don't get 1 thing =>
"The successful auto show, which is broadcast in over 90 countries, has chosen Romania as the site of one of 14 episodes promoting different destinations in the world." Are they going to do 14 eps about destinations and turn into a traveling program? Anyway can't wait for the episode to appear.

I would've liked a cheap car challenge. Jeremy in an Oltcit CLUB(sport)12 TRS 5-speed. 1.3 BOXER engine. Hammond in an ARO because it looks like a Land Rover, and James in a Dacia 1300 because it was the symbol of transportation in communist Romania.

Off: It appears that most of Romanian FG members are 18. I just got my license. Good luck at your exams and maybe in the future we can get together and have a Romanian FG meeting somewhere (Transfagarasan ).

The number 14 thing is certanly a mix-up with the season number. This will be like the light-weight supercars or American road trip episode.

USA, Botswana, Vietnam, that's three. Maybe they want to make 14 country specials before they end the series for good...

Drivers Licence exam ? Don't worry, you could learn all the questions by heart if necesary.

Anyway, a Romanian Road trip episode would be ... like the Top Gear catch phrase, how hard can it be ?, even though i highly doubt it. But since all 3 are present it seems likely, damn it, can't wait

So that's Jeremy in the Aston, Hammond in the Ferrari and James in the Lambo. I wonder what will they say about the quality of the roads. I can imagine Jeremy losing a wheel in a pothole somewhere and saying "that's not gone well" ) . I cannot wait until November.

i doubt they'll all go on about how it resembles fecal matter. They obviously won't say it's a great country to visit, because plainly it isn't, but they will be very happy about the Transfagarsan if they actually will do it

edit: i read somewhere, that they've gone to the sea side and are now in the parlament and tomorow are going for the Transfagarsan, they seem to cross romania.

but still guys no body remembers Topgear.com saying things to do before you die ?(drive in the hills of Transylvania)

Think Transfagarasan will beat the Stelvio pass ? I hope it will. They have similar characteristics. Can't wait to drive on it though.
