Default Saeries 14 Preview in new TG Mag

As usual there is a preview of the new series in the latest TG mag that dropped through my door this morning. Having done 3-4 of these before there appears to be a pattern emerging ie that most of the stuff they admit to is stuff we know about already, albeit with a bit more detail, plus a few snippets on top. This is enough to confirm in my mind at least that the TG lurkers check here first before deciding what goes into the mag for the preview.

So we have confirmed from other threads in the spoilers section:

James doing a DIY Airship using a caravan.

Jeremy testing a Twingo in Belfast (not the three of them as discussed so perhaps more like the Fiesta test in the shopping mall than a remake of the Italian Job. They do say that most of the stuff leaked in the web is way off the money and hint at the death of another Stig although I suspect that to be a red herring.

Convertibles in Romania. Looks like a variation on a theme of Best Driving Road in Europe but awesome nonetheless

Electric Cars. Take a TVR chassis and make it electric. Also pictured a green Stig complete with green socks and sandals and a drag race with their effort vs a G-Wiz.

Airport Vehicle Racing. Dropped from series 13.

Plus....

Limo Test. James and Stig test the S63 AMG and 760Li - also mentioned in Radio Times write up for 14x01

South American Road Trip. Sounds like a full episode special rather like Botswana. Buy whatever SUV they can for a budget and travel from the Amazon basin via La Paz to the Chilean coast.

Power Tests. R8 V10 confirmed plus limos as above. Hoping for Lexus LF-A and Merc SLS but not yet confirmed.

They also claim to have nothing scheduled yet for 14x04.

The whole tone suggests to me that they are heading back in the right direction after the return to form from seasons 12 and 13 and I reckon we are in line for seven consecutive Sunday nights of WIN!

"Green Stig." I can hardly wait to see what that one looks like.

Was James sucessful with his Caravan airship after two failed attempts to land? I hope so, because caravan, airship and James May are not words you see in the same sentence quite often.

That South America special sounds like it might just become the best episode ever. Really looking forward to that! As well as to the entire series of course

I agree! Especially if Clarkson's recent article is anything to go by.

Don't give them ideas! Anyway that would start to look a bit ridiculous by 2028 when Hammond is fat and bald, May has Alzheimers and Jezza's dicky hip means he has to be wheeled on to the stage up a ramp to do the News. Current White Stig would of course by then hsve been replaced with a Grey Stig with a yellow wee stain on his crotch.

And here I thought Stigs were cryogenically frozen and brought out when needed!

Still...
