I was at the local Chapters bookstore today and started browsing through the latest Top Gear magazine and saw that they had spoilers of (the delayed) series 9.

- A new cheap car challenge, except this time, the guys are in Miami, Florida and are given $1000 to buy something interesting. JC ends up with a 5L Chevy Camaro, Hammond with an old Dodge pickup, and May with an old shaggy Cadillac.

- 3 coupe review. New Audi TT vs RX-8 vs Alfa Brera

- A rocket launch of some sort, this one looks especially interesting images/smilies/biggrin.gif

That's all I remember from the magazine, looks like a great series when it starts!

Highlight to see.

I'm looking through TG mag right now, and there's an interesting preview of what's going to be in the next series.

- They will attempt to launch a rocket into space. There are some pictures, and the actual "shuttle" is a Robin Reliant (you know, those three-wheeled cars, like the one in Only Fools & Horses). There's a great picture of Mr. May explaining the plan on a whiteboard, and Mr. May & Mr. Hammond looking REALLY scared at one point.

- Hammond gets to drive an F1 car. A 2005 F1-Championship winning Renault car.

- They have another challenge. They buy US-built cars for $1000 and drive them around. Jeremy gets an IROC Camaro, James has a 15 year old waterbed Caddy and James has a Dodge pick-up truck.

- Another Man vs Car competition. Alfa Romeo 159 on the Humber bridge vs 7ft man who walks across the bridge.. (???)

- Coupe group test - New Audi TT vs Mazda RX8 vs Alfa Romeo Brera.

- Train Crash TV, or what happens when you slam a train in a rather unsuspecting looking Renault Grand Espace (old one).

Heya. Just a thought. Normally Top Gear is almost finished up with its season by Christmas, right? Lets just say Hammond is ready to begin early, by around Christmas. What would happen with the season? Would it be a full season, or would they save the stuff for the next seasons slot, or what?
