Hopefully they'll do something with the new GT-R there

Actually, it'd be quite easy for them to do a "cheap car challenge", seeing as the value of automobiles in Japan is extremely low. Especially when compared to the market in the UK.

    Great News!!!!

But instead of a cheap car challenge, I would love to see "a sports coupe from the 90's" challenge. Supra, RX7, GT-R...

Anyway!! It's great news!! I hope they get to drive the GT-R!!!

Our columnist Jeremy told us: “We’ve never been there but I’ve always wanted to go. Let’s face it, they’re not short of cars for us to play with.”
Erm, looks like The Sun even makes up comments from their own journalists. Clarkson went to Japan for two weeks to make Motorworld in 1996. I'd be interested to know where there will be filming - be cool to go and watch!

Well, he said "we've", not "I've".

... I ask Herb Helbig, vehicle synthesis manager for SRT and a member of the original Team Viper development group since day one, if they'd ever thought of adding traction control. "It comes with two," he says, pointing at my feet. "Learn to use them." Got it.

I imagine most of Japan's second hand cars hit other countries before being that cheap in their homeland, New Zealand has a lot imported as does alot of the other asian pacific countries. Australia has a quite a few these days but not that many compared to other countries due to protection of local industries

It's enough to say TG in Japan would be fantastic, however equally I am looking forward to see what the Camera Men can do with the backdrops and camera work, they make going around a track in rainy england look like a masterpiece, I await with bated breath to see what they can do with Tokyo as a backdrop.

I'd hope for the best, but who knows. Does Jeremy harbor any kind of hatred for Japan?

Both times he came to America, they shot from Detroit, the shittiest parts of Miami, and the Katrina scared deep south. Not exactly the most photogenic parts of the country.

I hope they find some way to turn this into good TV. In the Motorworld video, he showed himself being stuck in traffic, and talking to an old man who owned a Bentley or a Rolls Royce (sorry, can't remember right now). It was pretty boring, so I hope they make it more interesting than that was.
