Isn't it obvious?
James won the last challenge because Jeremy was ... umm... he was Jeremy. I bet he couldn't stand the humiliation of being beaten by Captain Slow so they had to do a rerun. Richard was never going to win in his canal boat because though spelled with a C CANAL and CHANNEL just arent the same things. And as far as James goes: I'm not a nautical expert but logic dictates that a sailing boat without a keel hasn't got the slightest chance of making it over the Channel. The Toybota (or the Nisbota) was the only contendor and don't think Clarkson didn't know it. |

There is no way that is Richard's original canal boat. It looks nothing like it. The old one was green and red and had a much less upturned prow. This one is blue and white and doesn't even have the railings the old one had on it.

I wouldn't mind seeing more amphicars! The original episode was great...and it will be nice to see Richard actually able to participate this time. This is most likely the main reason they are doing it again, atleast in their eyes. But I am sure they will think of another way to justify doing this again.
But regardless, the design of Richard's and James' boats are just retarded. Jeremy had a clear advantage with the design of his boat in the original, and being that these vehicles are all basically the same (with obvious slight differences), it is pretty clear to me that Jeremy will be the winner...unless of course he does something stupid like trying to make a 90 degree turn at 40km/h in a car-boat...

The Van is different, check the roofline.
So it would mean that only James' is definately the same; a quick numberplate check turned up this: Date of Liability 01 06 2008 Date of First Registration 25 07 2000 Year of Manufacture 1962 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1200CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Licence Not Due Vehicle Colour YELLOW Vehicle Type Approval null I wonder if he can claim his tax back on that, now that it's a boat? |

Because Top Gear forgot it used to be a car show where they ummm... reviewed cars.
![]() Don't get me wrong, it never stops to be funny. 8) But please, please, please, Top Gear producers, if you're watching, just sneak in a little more reviews. I just want to see a Ferrari (F430 Scuderia would be nice) or an e92 M3 power slide out of corners and gargle thunder out of the exhausts from time to time. Please.

exactly, USED to be a car show. Top Gear has moved on from being just a car show, and I think aslong as they keep their viewing figures as high as they are, it wont change.

lol
When i read what was up i started laughing a little, so i see no reason why this gag can't be recycled, in a way im happy this was spoiled, as it seems funnier now As said, i would like to see some car reviews, but i think the last season was well enough of a mix, i do remember some Lamboghinis or something being driven quickly, Hopefully when they run out of gags the'll have enough new cars to review that it the'll start doing more reviews for awile, i personally wouldn't mind if they would cycle between gags and car reviews |

Viper, in Europe they essentially run soft-core porn on television in the evening. Plus they have nude beaches all over the place. I was in Hannover, Germany for a week on business and I couldn't believe what they were running on TV. In between the ringtone commercials, that is. I think Europeans require ringtones to survive or something.
When I saw "English Channel" I thought they meant the BBC . I'm sure it will be funny, and the risk goes up significantly crossing the channel, but sad to see the gags run unchecked and worse recycled. |

A few years ago when the whole ringtone thing started these stupid commercials where _everywhere_ but luckily, that phase is over and things are back to normal again (but I still don't understand why people actually pay money for a stupid ringtone).

![]() the ring tone commercials have subsided, still get alot on sky, but the crazy frog is, at last, dead. during the week an sat, alot of the top papers have page 3 girls... not always topless, but mostly. its a normal thing, it not viewed as porn, your five year old child can go buy a copy of the sun just fine. infact sometimes papers like the sun will have topless women on the front of the paper. you can go into places like a mechanics or valet or anything like that an see these pages pinned up. Most professional places wont allow it, but local shops n stuff dont seem to care. real porn is saved for the top shelf where the kiddies cannot reach. i think america is alot more conservative than us in this regard. apart from p-town around cape cod... that place just scares me. |
