It's not that unusual to have cars have 10, 15 mins or more in their garage getting some attention of some sort - and still perform well.
Personally - the longer it's in the garage, the less time Clarkson's got to stuff it into the gravel somewhere  Doug |

You've not followed a 24 hour race before have you? At Le Mans, people have recovered their cars to the pits using the starter motor, spent an hour in the pits, and still get on the podium for their class.
After getting pushed into the pits - it was rolled back into the garage, where it's getting some attention - hence my use of the word attention. Let's be brutally honest - exceptionally cool as this is (and I'm heading down to Silverstone tomorrow to see it) - with the driving talents of Clarkson and May involved in a significant part of the 24 hours, it's never going to be a stellar performance anyway. In the 24hr grand scheme of things, some time in the garage is not a major issue. Maybe it's something major and it takes an hour - we don't know yet. Commentary just said that JM and JC were walking down the pitlane to perhaps beg/steal/borrow some parts. Doug Last edited by djellison; September 8th, 2007 at 6:30 PM. |
