A few comments:

1. It makes sense that Hamster would get the Challenger, during the TG News sessions he'd threatened to get one (with Clarkson saying he'd challenge it with a Jaguar XK and May plumping for one of those Japanese minivertibles). It also makes sense that May would drive using a saloon car.

2. About people confusing the Challenger and the Camaro: how much are you willing to bet that Clarkson is going to rib Hammond on just that fact (calling it a Camaro just to annoy him)?

3. About the Shelby: suggest it's probably a pace car to set a time around the flats which the trio have to beat.

4. I suspect that those three cars were picked mainly because they'd be the ones planned for import into Britain.

5. Woulda been nice to see May drive the Hyundai Genesis saloon, just to see whether or not that car *is* a Mustang challenger.

3. Chances are it is just a random appearance of a Shelby at the flats the same day they were there.

5. The Genesis Coupe is what's going to be the "Mustang challenger" not the saloon

Yeah, I believe that's the case as well.

Jeremy argued the 6 series was a better car...

Skip to about 5:00 unless you want to watch 5 minutes of 90s Mustang taillights.

Jeremy makes mention of some of his American trip in Sunday's Times Review.

Just in case you're interested.
