Default 21 Years of Top Gear (1999)

Hope I won't get in trouble for starting a new thread here, but I thought it might reach more people here. I found one of the old TG episodes on a VHS that aired sometime in 1999. It's a special celebrating 21 years of Top Gear, you get to see how the show started, see old clips and hear from the presenters.

The video is available from 95's FTP and Tweeke's FTP.

Length: 24 min
File size: 233MB

PS: Please excuse the video quality, the tape has been watched countless times.

It is not difficult at all really - there is a step by step thread which is very very clear. Just do a search of threads with FTP and it is one of those. Good little skill to pick up any way.

Sounds very interesting indeed - although shouldn't this be in video offers?

Not hard, just type (replacing the bits in [square brackets] with info from one of the linked threads):

ftp://[USERNAME]:[PASSWORD]@[URL or IP ADDRESS]:[PORT (may not be needed]

into your browser. So if:

username: thisis
password: onlyanexample
ip: 127.0.0.1
port: 21

it would be

ftp://thisis:onlyanexample@127.0.0.1:21

or if

username: thisis
password: onlyanexample
address: dontclickthis.com
port: 21

then

ftp://thisis:onlyanexample@dontclickthis.com:21

This was stupidiously fun. I really liked it. Especially the look on Tiffs face when he gets overtaken by the... Jaguar.

What a great video, I'll never look at TG in the same way again.

I thought old TG was damned boring, tbh. Until I saw this. Chris Goffey, Quintin Wilson and Tiff actually made some really fun reviews.

QW does a commentary on one of those US 'real life' cops getting the bad guys shows - you would be amazed at the comments, none of this cops are always all good stuff - check it out if you get a chance. Its very funny IMHO.

^ Just use VLC Media Player. That will play just about anything regardless of codecs. One of the best advices i was ever given, so i like to pass it along.

Or just get a codec and Media Player Classic. As a Media Player, it is better.

Allthough there's not much wrong with VLC either.
