Default August Top Gear Magazine Contents

I'm a bit late posting this as the magazine is now on sale, but oh well, still thought I'd pass along what's in the latest mag:

Quote:
We love muscle cars
All-American icon showdown in the desert

This month, we headed off to California's Mojave Desert and brought along a Dodge Viper, a Mustang GT500 and a Corvette Z06 for a spin - as you do.

Still Stateside, we checked out the Chevy Camaro too, before heading back to the Mojave with the Dodge Challenger prototype.

Plus the Jaguar XKR Coupe and Clarkson on how he became the next Buzz Lightyear!
Giggity giggity! images/smilies/biggrin.gif Looks like I'll have to be going to go try and find an import of this one to see my Viper. images/smilies/love.gif

Quote:
Drive
The new Audi TT - yep, it's good

Style still counts a lot for the new TT but now it has the substance to back it up. Paul Horrell puts the Audi beast through it paces.

We also get the verdict on the impressive Volvo XC90, breaking away from its traditionally conservative image, and the stylish and easy to drive Sportwagon from Alfa Romeo, plus the Skoda Roomster, Lexus GS450 and Citroen C2 amongst others.
And here's the cover:

Yeah Borders does take a while to get it (Sometimes up to two weeks after the UK release), but they do eventually get it.

Is there anywhere you can get this in the States besides a Borders (I don't think I have one near me), or would I have to order it online?

If you've got a chapters or an indigo nearby, that's where I get my copy, haven't been there yet this week, but they're usually fairly fast.

not necessarily. its a bad situation here because everything is a month old and the only way to get the current ones is by subscription. the subscription fee is like $150 or something ridiculous like that.
but in a situation like No Boss's where its only 2 weeks late, just buy it from the store and save a total of $70 over the course of a year.

I flipped through a TG mag at Chapters a few months ago. It's a terrible mag. It's almost completely advertisements and junk; 4 pages of articles across 4000 pages total. The articles themselves are thoughtless and fickle. Total waste of money.

I'm sorry to be so negative. I just don't want to see someone waste their money.

Yeah, you are right in a way. A large chunk of the mag is dedicated to the review/specs section in the back but the front is still fairly good.

Haha, I thumbed through my mom's Cosmo once (heh, I was bored and there's some damn hot chicks in there!). Now THAT is filled with ads. Thing is like 2x the thickness of a standard magazine and I highly doubt it actually has any more content. images/smilies/bangin.gif
