Rep for you!

If you use VLC, use the audio EQ to turn down the pre-amp to 0dB and turn up the master volume -- much better! I had to laugh when the subtitles showed the German voice-over saying "402.23" meters for the drag race

Audio seems to be alright so far, and video quality's very good. Thanks for getting those videos for us!
Maybe I'm just too far out of touch with German culture, but they seem to be very into the repeated detailed explanation of the bleeding obvious. A lot of telling instead of showing, as my high school English teacher would say. And I thought American TV talked down to its audience. |

I used torrents which normally takes like a day to download a 700mb ep of TG, but this was pretty fast, within one hour. Quite happy, and I quite enjoyed it, especially parts that they didn't show in TG.

I liked it, although it was always a bit of a "Germans overanalysing everything" show. They also explain time and time again why this Carsten guy can't drive. (oh dearie, he can't drive a RHD car, awww...)
And they have excuses for everything that goes wrong. Still, pretty interesting overall, especially seeing it from the other perspective. One little niggle, the times when the Germans are subbing what the TGtrio are saying, they're usually miles off the truth...either they didn't understand what they meant or didn't hear what they said, the subs are just crap on the other hand, whoever did the German>English sub was pretty good at it. |

So front page worthy and the audio is just me?

Front page worthy. The audio was not just you, but since I had to read most of it, I just turned the sound down low.

Just put it on the frontpage. This was a lot of work done by Suedschleife for the community and should be rewarded.
I bet there's interest for it and you can always put up a disclaimer for the audio. Last edited by swek; October 1st, 2008 at 4:14 AM. |

In the first video when they introduce the team it looks like there on a current affairs or similar for being a shonky builder.

I like how they don't mention the 130 PS advantage the Aston had over the Porsche in top gear.

^probably true
![]() I also really, really, REALLY hate that Carsten guy now. He seems a bore in the TG bit, but in the Dmotor review we see he is really queen sized pussy. Why is he on a carshow if he's scared to go fast? He's such a whiny little bitch, I'm glad Hammond went "YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH" in his face now |
