I'm pretty sure that BBC has the say in the matter, not Top Gear

Well, I would like to have the Top Gear team more involved with the site and I don't think they are likely to post if we start badgering them - especially about something that they can't control.

Everyday someone has this idea.

TG knows we want the DVDs. And, if you look around in the Site/Show suggestion thread, Problems forum, Spec. Ep. Discussion forum, and the Site itself forum you'll see dozens of people (mostly new people who don't know how to use torrents) trying to rally people together to get the DVDs made. And the BBC still hasn't made them.

I say your best bet is just send a nice, professional, Email to the TG crew and/or the BBC and just ask them wheather they plan on releasing a DVD version, why or why not? and when?

I want them in DVD format as much as the next guy, and I'm sure the BBC will produce them; but until they do, lets just enjoy the episodes care of FinalGear.

I don't think it will ever happen. Quite simply, most of the cars in series one are outdated, and the same will be of cars this year a few years from now. Its a talk/news/entertainment show, and most of those don't wind up on tv. <== that would be the sales dept. point of view most likely. I have a feeling everyone at Top Gear knows about this site and the downloading that takes place, and also knows that DVD releases for the series won't happen. So they tolerate downloading as a way of pleasing fans till something else can happen.

I would absolutelly be in support of this... It'd be a dream come true! I'd buy the DVDs and so would a lot of my mates.

Has anyone contacted TG and gotten a response? I'd like to know if it's even possible.

I contacted BBC last year about buying the complete season (not just best of) because I thought it might be available through BBC but not a retailer. History and A&E work this way.

They replied that they cannot and will not release the complete season.
