In James column on Friday he said "By the time you read this i'll be in a caravan"

Which means series 1 of the wine show was an XJS, series 2 the Winnebago and this series a caravan... now it makes sense.

I wasn't planning on having a chat with him. I saw a big Rolls and a caravan go past at like 2 mph so went outside and saw him straight infront of me...

Actually video is rubbish, tried to slighly start filming during conversation but it did not work.
But yeah, looks like he's on here frequently

Let's make a list of things to do, and not to do, when someone meets Willman, Clarkson, May or Hammond in the future.

Example

If you meet Hammond, do not slap him over the back of his head, and shout "Why aren't you wearing that helmet I gave you".

If you meet Clarkson, tell him SuperStalin asked when will another DVD of "Clarkson makes fun of Americans" come out.

etc.

So, if some of our British members ever meet them, they can ask some of the more interesting, prepared questions.

To the moron who gave me negative rep. - what I've written is just a joke, nothing more.

Yeah, the video was pathetic, the questions were pathetic, but I had just woke up when I heard he was outside.....

I dont spend hours making questions up for all 3 of them incase I see one of them out of the blue....

Lets just make the most of what we have and move on...

Haha, well done robybobey! You sure live in the right area.

Two top blokes (James & Oz). It's good to see they're easy going & approachable in real life. Can't wait to see the new series when it airs images/smilies/smile.gif

Oh and James, if you get to read this thread - please do the Oz & James Aus+NZ trip I just read about. You'll love the (sea)food & wine in NZ particularly! Think it'd make a brilliant series.

Cheers all

I don't think either the video or the questions were pathetic,
they are just about what anyone here would do/ask if they suddenly met
the TG people.

Mainly, just treat them with respect. They're people with jobs to do. I grew up here in Nashville, any yes, many country music stars actually live here. So do a number of Hollywood stars, and people from other music genres. If you get out much, or attend charity events, or even just go shopping, you'll run into them. They're practically a neighbor, so treat them as such. No, not like the neighbor with the dogs that bark all night. More like the nieghbor who keeps a neat yard and doesn't throw parties which line the streets with cars.

There are some people in the "fame industry" who are flakier than an obsessive fan, and they're gonna be flakes no matter how you treat them. But from what I've heard of others' encounters with the TG blokes, these guys are the down-to-earth real deal. If you get to meet them, my suggestion is don't forget to show your appreciation for that.

My company was recently participating in a charity event hosted by country music star Vince Gill. One of my co-workers is a HUGE fan of the man. When Gill arrived, my co-worker was nervous and wanted to meet him, but didn't want to bother him and was afraid of being nervous, and in turn making him nervous. I said "Ah, whatever", and walked over and introduced myself. He was a genuinely nice guy, and treated my co-worker like an old friend.

To contrast, I've met guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen a few times, but only once when he was sober. I wouldn't go so far as to say he's flaky, but he is a bit cautious of everyone. Having met some of his other fans, I can understand why. Maybe he just attracts a different kind of personality.
