Default "Gulp!" Looks like Wilman might have read my thread......

OMG. Just read Wilman's latest blog at http://www.topgear.com/blogs/planett...ow-six-wilman/
and in it he says "Secondly, if Final Gear boys are still tuned in, one of you wrote a couple of weeks ago that James hadn't been in the series much, and that we therefore must be grooming the viewers for him leaving. Pleeeeeese. Go and put that fertile conspiracy theory brain of yours to better use. Find out if Kennedy was shot in Dallas, or during a faked moon landing."

Appears he may have read http://forums.finalgear.com/top-gear...in-slow-28357/ in which case I apologise humbly and unreservedly to Andy and everyone here for the other STUPID thread I started the other day where I suggested he might insert a subliminal shout to us on the show.

He obviously does take on board a great deal of what we say here, so I guess we are a useful barometer of opinion and can perhaps all feel a tiny bit pleased that in some small way we contribute to the show. Also nice of him to concur there has been a dearth of May and Hammond in this run and to offer some form of explanation.

Keep up the good work Andy, and here's to more of Captain Slow in series 12.

Exactly! Great to get an answer from the horse's mouth - not only am I reassured that James isn't leaving we also know why he hasn't featured so much this series ie that it's just the luck of the draw.

Chaos rather than conspiracy theory then.

mineworks, you dropped the instructions while you was reloading your rifle way back in 1963 whilst walking off the grassy bit to walk on the construction site of the moon landing images/smilies/smile.gif

I still can't believe that Terios engine noise was real, its way too deep for a 1.5L car...did they change the exhaust beforehand? images/smilies/tongue.gif

Same here.

It sounded.... V8. Not V10, V12, just V8-ish.

Edit: Upon reading the blog, it seemed it came from the camera car. It was a V8 or so Andy says.

What a great feeling it is that the actual people who make Top gear listens to us and gives us feedback!

BTW I was thinking that maybe the "I went on the internet and found this..." picture might have come from deep within Final Gear. Who knows... images/smilies/wacko.gif

Nice thought, but remember he doesn't have to be a member to read the threads, only to post on them, and I think if he was a member and his identity was discovered then he'd get himself a new login sharpish. A bit like what happened to Black Stig when it became public knowledge he was Perry McCarthy.

And no Stig identity comments on this thread just because I mentioned that!!!!! images/smilies/wink.gif

Woah....my appologies to the TG team for being among those who thought a different engine was dubbed over the little 4x4's sound track. So that was really the stock sound of the engine??
